Springsteen Ticket Prices So, I know that it costs a lot to put a stadium gig on but ticket prices are out of control!
Springsteen is in our area next year and I had a maximum of £130 earmarked for a ticket. The cheapest ticket was £142! Okay, I could have got a 'limited viewing' seat for £105 but I may as well watch it at home! I know that it will be a fantastic show, I know that Springsteen is a great act, however, as an artist who sings about construction workers and being born to run, the tickets are surely being marketed towards the higher earners. I'll always love his back catalogue and I know he's provided a lot of support for communities and causes in the past but I fear that he is in danger of alienating the true fans and trashing his own legacy by embracing only the most wealthy fans. I worked out how much would be paid to fill the stadium and fans would hand over in excess of £7 million! Not bad for 1 night, not good for people battling through a cost of living crisis. Yeah that's just crazy money. It's guaranteed to be a great show and he's one of the last truly great live performers. Going to a Springsteen gig is like an event in itself right? Like how I imagined going to see Prince or Michael Jackson would have been. But those prices are ridiculous. I know I wouldn't spend it. I couldn't afford it even if I wanted to  I suppose you just have to decide on what would be the biggest regret? Would you regret spending that money to see him for what could be the last time or would you regret keeping the money and missing the chance to see him. | |

I used to spend alot of money on concerts,but I don't anymore.These days,if the ticket is more than $100, I just say "nope.....I'll wait for the blu-ray or watch clips on Youtube | |

Never understood the appeal of this guy...his voice sounds like he drinks bleach daily...he cant dance, he's goofy and awkward on stage...his band sounds like any random local cover band...his songs are forgettable, at best...and hes a funny lookin dude...clearly, somebody in very high places owed him a lifetime of favors | |
