What would be inconvenient for an iron man? Discussing with a friend and we were wondering what stuff would be annoying for a metal man? Magnets? Any other ideas? | |

Dear fellow Prince enjoyer,
Find outlined below a detailed method to rust a metal surface. Performing these operations will inconvenience, if not seriously damage, a "metal man", as you put it: 1.Prepare an outdoors work area, such as an open garage. You want lots of air and preferably direct sunlight. 2.Remove any paint from the man. I don't know if the metal man is painted but if he is apply a coat of paint thinner and wash before scraping off any remaining flecks. 3. Sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper. Your metal friend probably will NOT enjoy this, so make sure to apply adequate restraints before beginning. 4. Spray white vinegar onto the surface and wait several minutes. Direct sunlight will help the drying process here. 5. Apply a solution of hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, and salt. Really just try to have fun with the quantities here. 6. Seal the metal with a clear acrylic sealant. This will preserve the rust for many years to come. I hope you find thia information useful for your purposes.
