"The Wonder Years" is definately rebooted as is "How I Met Your Father".
c'mon bruh, that's a completely different show that just jacked The Wonder Years title. It has no relation to the original.... does that take place during the 60s, too? At least have the family living down the street from Kevin or moving into Kevin's old house or something.
It's basically if Freaks & Geeks called itself The Wonder Years.
or like how every trash sci fi anthology show has to have the name The Twilight Zone every other decade when the only version that any generation cares about is the 50s Rod Serling version. [Edited 7/14/23 18:35pm] Yes it does. The odds this family could ever live down the street from Kevin's is rare to never. It's paralleling to the other show with the connect being Winnie's brother and the Vietnam War. I did think about what happened to the thirty something cast a few months ago. Desperate housewives. The Magician, probably too old of a concept. Did I already mention Courtship of Eddie's Father, Eddie would be a grandpa now but the concept of a single dad hasn't been done that often I don't think. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Is that Wonder Years reboot any good though?
Like I loaed up the Hulu and watched some OG Wonder Years. Every other episode had me crying. I've seen that show at different phases of life, once young kid Kevin's age, once older teen Kevin's age, years out of college, and now. It somehow always gets more emotionally resonant and relatable.
Amazing character development, too. Like how after Kevin's brother Wayne's goofy buddy Wart returns from Vietnam and is all PTSD and folds all his clothes military style and sits a bleecher almost naked. Tells Wayne, "Nothing seems to fit anymore." So Wayne takes his own shirt off and hands it to Wart. "Here you go, you can wear mine."

I could get down with some Logan's Run, maybe as a 2-season limited series or something. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

Was gonna roast Murphy Brown of all shows getting a reprise series in 2018, found some random Season 4 episode... You know this show isn't bad. A lil preachy... It's just trying to be like an All in the Family meets Mary Tyler Moore newsroom style. Seems like it deserves to have more of a legacy than it has..? |

I can't say to a person that is tied in a personal way to the original series it would be satisfying. It very well could be. It's not far different than the original, but it is a different family. Time keeps on slipping into the future...
