Virtual Insanity - Playstation VR2 Any gamers on the org interested in virtual reality? I got my hands on the PSVR2 yesterday but I had to wait until this morning to actually play it. My initial impressions are that it looks extremely good. I've only played a bit of a game called Kayak VR which basically just sees you going around in a kayak (the clue was in the name, I guess) but I'm VERY impressed. Graphics are unbelievable and the sense of immersion is just something else. I can't wait for my son to come home from school so I can see what he thinks of it. Has anyone else here had a chance to play on it yet and could you please provide any recommendations for games.

Congrats. I'd love one but, the price is so high. I only had Psvr so I'm not sure if ps4 games are compatible with yours. I'd suggest looking up game reviews on youtube that catch your intrest. Look up PsvrOnParol, PolishPaul. They usually tell you if a games is a buy, pass, wait for a sale The few complaints I had on Psvr was it would get hot wearing that helmet It could be tiring The cord would be near your feet if you moved around. Occasionally the camera would drift. I will take my place, In the great below

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll check them out. As far as I know, some PS4 games are compatible but some are not. I've only played that Kayak game but I've found the headset to be quite comfortable so far. My arms are absolutely knackered though from rowing around in the kayak . It looks amazing though, I really can't stress that enough. It's so lifelike. I was rowing around in the antarctic and I seen a few penguins walking around on the ice, just at the edge of the water. So I go over to them and I just sit there, looking at them. Then, all of a sudden, one of the penguins jumps right into the water where I'm sitting. Frightened the life out of me! I thought he was going to crash right into me. For a second, I forgot it was a game so when he jumped towards me I flinched. And I might have swore at him too

I'm curious about eyestrain with these gadgets... Is it recommended not to spend too long during one session to avoid eyestrain/potential vision damage? "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

I dont have an real answer. I had one game cause me motion sickness. In short it made me dizzy for a moment. Nothing long lasting. This was a game that you could spin the screen any direction. (360-degree) while you are still moving Other than that I had no issues. I never played more than 2/3 hours straight. It got tiring, but not on my eyes, just in general. @ ShellyMcG I did a quick Google search. Apparently you can not play Psvr games on psvr2. I also read some games may get a psvr2 upgrade. I turned on my ps5 today and first thing I see is Psvr2! I looked up the game you mentioned, it looks great. Psvr games definitely didnt look this good. But they still could be fun and cool to play. It was about the immursion. I'm jelly, have fun I will take my place, In the great below

I haven't played it long enough to get eyestrain but I guess it's like reading a book or looking at your phone. If your eyes start to feel tired, take a break for a while.

I was looking at reviews from that PSVR without parole YouTube channel all night and making a list of some games to get if and when they get upgraded to work with PSVR2. That Iron Man game looks great. There's a game called Moss too which looks really nice where you control a little mouse. I think that already has an upgrade for PSVR2 so I'll look into that when I get paid next Monday.

How do people who wear glasses play these? I don't wear glasses all the time, just for reading, but I was curious about that myself. So I put it on over my glasses to see if it would fit and it actually works perfectly. It's definitely designed with glasses wearers in mind. Not only that but I actually found the image to be a slight bit clearer when wearing my glasses so I'll probably wear them more often when playing. And I'll probably book an eye test too just to be safe

Watching the Parol channel gave me fomo. 😅 I bought games because of them, and I had no regrets. My only regret was not playing enough. @ moss I played the regular Psvr version, It was cool. Never played it enough to give an honest review. I will take my place, In the great below

Never played it enough to give an honest review. I was playing that Horizon Call Of The Mountain game earlier. It looks spectacular. So lifelike and genuinely terrifying when you come face to face with a giant robot dinosaur. You get a real appreciation for the size of those things that you just don't get in the "flat" versions of the other Horizon games. But 90% of the game so far has been climbing up mountains and my arms are wrecked. I can seriously only play for half an hour at a time because I'm just too tired to keep going
