I'm watching the series. I can't say if I like all the changes or not. Haven't finished it yet. Kevin looks so lost in it all.

There a lot of dumb things in the show with zero context. How does Kevin just suddenly know how to perfectly ride a horse, and if he already knew how then why was he acting all skiddish about it in the 1st place?
Why would one leave the front door wide open as they are, supposedly, sneaking around to read in a one room shack?
Why would 3 generations in a row need to be snatched back in time, their ancestors were that seriously accident prone? Maybe they don't need to exist.
Why aren't they acknowledging the stuff they bring with them and how it would be viewed in 1815 and recognizing the dangers in that?
The series needs a lot of fine tuning if they insist on changing the original story and aren't trying to twist it into a plain ole YA suspense series.
