Kevin Conroy, best known as the voice of Batman has died at the age of 66. To date, he is the only actor I will recognise as "the real Batman". Nobody else comes close. He voiced the character in the much loved animated series as well as several movies but personally speaking, I think his best performance as Batman came in the Arkham series of games. He brought a certain gravitas to the role and always delivered like nobody else could. Any future addition to either the animated shows or videogame series will be weaker with him not in it.

This was all over my wrestling forum. It's a tremendous loss. Shocking in the sense that these voice overs in animation kinda exist removed from tangible reality. Like, obviously many years since the 90s animated series, but he still had that boss delivery even up through the Arkham games. Wish that live action Crisis in Infinity Flash Arrowverse cameo coulda gone a little different, but at least it happened.

Both him and Adam West (R.I.P.) were honestly probably the definitive iterations of the character. Every one else fits somewhere in between the two and just tried to keep up to their natural swagger.
