Covid Anybody caught covid here? I just got over it. Pretty much like having the flu for two weeks

I've been pretty luck to not have caught it at all. The roommate hasn't either. We did finally get our shots. The initial first 2, and 1 booster. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Don't know. Got the sniffles a few times since all this, only went for testing once and never got my results back. Haven't had a need to use the home testing kits available now except to buy my daughter one. She had it, flu-like for about a week, then bounced back. She got the one dose vaccination, no boosters. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

It took over 2 years to get me, back in April. I was vaxxed & boosted (Moderna), and it felt like a cold. Two days of sickness and done. Within a week of testing positive, I was negative. I'll get another boost eventually.

I got it for the first time, 2 weeks ago. Was like a flu, felt pretty bad, but did only last for 5 days.....

Aw thanks, k. Two weeks of sickness is a bitch. & with covid it can be scary. My sister & her bf got it early & it was a little hairy. She never stopped working from home, but there were a few days where she felt really crappy, & I had to at least think about bad outcomes.

I live in the centre of a city, completly avoiding people is impossibe, yet neither I nor my partner have never had so much as a sniffle since 2019. Could it be that we declined to be vaccinated?

Maybe you have natural immunity. Seems there's always a small group of people who are. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Nope, never caught it, even after the gyms reopened in NYC and I was around more people. Some of my co-workers caught it, not me. Maybe it's because I'm a workout fiend.

For some it's no joke. I lost 3 relatives to it. My wife had it in January. She works in the health field so she had already took the proper protocols prior to catching it as it spread among a few co workers including her. Her symptoms were mild and she only missed a week of work. Of course I had to get tested too and was fine but I had to confine her to our bedroom for a week while I slept upstairs. Good to hear you recovered. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Thanks phunkdaddy. Sadly I too had 2 co-workers die from Covid. Another co-worker got covid and was in a coma for days. He suffered from long time effects from covid and now he can no longer work, and he is in his 30's. Yup Covid is no joke. Yes my wife and I avoided each other as well. Staying in different rooms and texting each other. Sorry to hear about your family members

Well my sister & her bf got it in March or April 2020. (He works at an old folks home.) Vaccines didn't exist.

Thank you. I was lucky in the sense it was really just having the flu for 2 weeks. At no point did I feel the need to go to the hospital.
