NBA Playoffs 2022 Thread

Great start to the playoffs....didn't see Minnesota shocking Memphis in Game 1.

Nets/Celtics is setting up to be a classic series. Boston's defense on that last Brooklyn was perfect, and not calling a timeout was the right move.

Give the Bulls credit for never giving up and coming back. If they shot better in the fourth quarter, maybe they could have stolen that game.

Still waiting for Pittsburgh to get a team. Just can't get into the NBA. And I like basketball.

Can't believe the Sixers have a 2-0 lead on the Raptors right now. Now the Sixers must take that

energy to Toronto where they struggle to win. Can't believe Raptors coach Nick Nurse is complaining

about the amount of foul calls Embiid is getting. Shit when you double and triple teaming him and

knocking him to the ground what the hell you expect is going to happen.

Interesting series between the Grizzlies and the TWolves. Ja Marant is a talented dude but he

cocky as fuck as well as their FB fans. lol I was glad to see the T'Wolves give them a reality

check.

Poor Chris Paul....everytime he gets close to winning a title, something always goes wrong. No Booker, no ring.

Nice bounce back by the Bulls in Game 2...Derozan was killing it from midrange! I do think Milwaukee gets a split in Chicago.

Nets down 0-2...very impressed with Boston's defense on Durant. Shaq calls it "touching him up", lol.

T'Wolves should be kicking themselves...up by 26 and they still lose the damn game. Barkley was right....dumb team, dumb coach, and KAT is soft.

Doncic has been on fire especially at home and love the way he dominates when he gets in to the paint. Do not think they can win the championship though. Hard to beat the suns at their place and think the warriors will be too much for them.

Yeah, Dallas is better than I thought. But I expect Phoenix to win at home.

I'm picking Phoenix over Golden State. I expect the Suns to take advantage of the Warriors lack of size.

Very disappointed in Philly's performance last night. Embiid did all he could despite his injuries, but where the hell was James Harden??????

I'm still pissed at Daryl Morey for bringing Harden's lazy ass to Philly when he had opportunities

to bring younger more athletic shooters to the team. He turned down Indy at the start of the season

when they offered Malcolm Brogdon and Caris LeVert. Then he turned down Portland when they offered CJ McCollom and turned down Sacremento's offer of Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield.

Morey is just as bad as Harold Katz was in the mid 80's. Fuck him. mad

That trade turned out to be a disaster for both teams. Philly traded Ben Simmons for a cat who had a Ben Simmons-like performance. You can't make this shit up.

Big Sunday treat for NBA fans, back-to-back Game 7s. I'm going with the home teams.

In my nearly five decades of following the NBA, I can not recall a home team having a putrid performance like the Suns in a Game 7. It was so bad I switched to the Rangers/Penguins game and I'm not even a hockey guy. I just wanted to watch a real Game 7 lol.

I was listening to Undisputed earlier today, and they were talking about the tension between Coach Williams & Ayton. This is what Li'l Wayne told Skip;
“From what our man Lil Wayne told me, he was sitting across [from the Suns bench], Monty got so upset with Ayton that he said, ‘You freaking quit on us.’ That led to an exchange where each Monty and Ayton had to be restrained from going at each other.”

I was wondering what Monty's 'internal' comment meant.

Do you watch college basketball? I'm not as big a fan as I was in years past.

All the top players are 1 and done. It was nice to see a top college player play 2 or

3 years before jetting to the NBA. I usually just watch the NBA now.

phunk, it has to be killing you watching Jimmy B do his thing last night. I understand sometimes he can wear thin on coaches/teammates, but he wants to win. No room for being soft.

Most definitely. If he can eliminate the Celtics I'm good. Whatever happens after that I'm okay.

There will be a Game 7 in the East Finals, Sunday night....can't wait!

Unfortunately, Miami & Boston have beaten each other up so much, that whoever wins will be easy pickings for Golden State.

Boston blew this series by allowing GS to regain home court....big difference between 3-1 and 2-2. Plus the Warriors are battle-tested - can't see them losing a critical Game 5 at home.
