Valentine's Day Plans

I know it's a little early yet but Valentine's Day will be here before you know it. And I'm a nosey bitch so I thought I'd ask what everyone is planning for Valentine's Day this year. Obviously, the last few years have been impacted heavily by covid lockdowns but now we're seeing things opening back up so are any of you planning anything this year? Or is February 14th just another day for you?

Personally, I've never really celebrated Valentine's Day. But this year I actually am making plans. I've been very good over the last two months and have managed to lose 99% of the weight I put on during my pregnancy so on Valentine's Day this year I'm going to get myself a massive fucking pizza and eat it all by myself to celebrate razz

I choose to celebrate Arizona statehood day, and American magician, illusionist, writer, actor, painter, and film director Raymond Joseph Teller's birthday. The Teller in Penn & Teller.

But if anyone is looking to buy me a gift, I'm a size 5-day all-inclusive vacation.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

When I was younger, Valentine's Day (while dating) was poetry, candy and of course flowers.

Old and married, not so much. grandpa

Don't usually bother, but it's mine and my partners first valentine together and also just happens to be her birthday.
We're going glamping in the Scottish Highlands. Mountain view, hot tub, champers, all that stuff. I've even hired a Merc to get us there. cool

I used to know this guy Jeff. We were fast friends. (He's dead now.) He once sorta dated this mutual acquaintance named Blake. We sorta knew Blake had a serious Batman fetish. His profile on gay.com had a pic w/ him in a Batman costume. So, Batman and Blake always sorta went together.

Jeff told me once that Blake him put a Robin costume on when they were fucking. He said, "Blake keeps the costume in a Rubbermaid container under his bed." It seemed crazy, but okay.

Fast forward a few years. Blake hosted a huge party. Lots of great folks, beautiful home, great food, music, just fun. His bedroom was upstairs. Everyone was just sort of wandering around. Jeff took me upstairs to see the bedroom (the one he'd been in). THen he says, "is anyone coming?" I looked down the stairs and said no.

He pulls a Rubbermaid container from under the edge of the bed, opened the lid and voila - Batman and Robin costumes. I was gobsmacked. It just was like - wow, he really does this!

Later, when we left, Jeff and his date Mike trailed out the door first after we put coats on. There were still a lot of folks in the house. So since I was the last one out, I stepped out, then leaned my body and head back in and shouted, "Later, Bruce. I mean, Blake!" and shut the door behind me.

Jeff was already running for the car. I was hysterical laughing, I could hardly walk. Mike, bless him, just tolerated the both of us. The drive home was ...well, it wasn't boring.

This is why I have any Batman lovers down as gay. Because the original series was camp. And ultimately all roads lead to Rome, as the origin stories are more important. They tried to make Batman and Robin, as in the film 1997, work as a duo. But despite the more butch attire, their fallouts were still the stuff of camp. And beware any chicks who dig the guy in a superhero costume. They might just sit around too much and not have enough alpha energy, while still complaining about the 'patriarchy'.
Oh, the double standards. hmm

The original Batman series was in 1943. Then there was another, titled "Batman And Robin" made in 1949. Neither of these were camp. You're confusing it with the 1966 version with Adam West.

The definitive version of Batman, as far as I'm concerned, is Batman: The Animated Series from the 90s. That was anything but camp. It had a more serious tone and more adult storylines than most live action prime time shows of that era. And Batman and Robin's relationship was always portrayed more as father and son rather than lovers.

Honestly, I think you're just projecting. From the sound of it, the only one with the Batman fetish here is you.

No, I'm not even being serious about it. Half of the posts I put on the org are in jest, to be perfectly honest.

I'm often trying to be funny on here. The GIFS from Prince death investigation threads prove it. Except, I think they're now gone. Phatphuk orger would back me up if he's still around.
