The reason I put them in with Hitler is because they're a marmite band. People seem to either love them or hate them!

Can't imagine many people loving Hitler. wink

Exactly. It sorta freaks me out when I think about being able to change my own time line. Everything we do affects someone else. Maybe we change an action in the past, and we don't get in a car to drive somewhere. And maybe a person behind us isn't delayed by 5 seconds, having had waited on us to turn in the first time line, then they show up somewhere too soon, or change their minds about something, and die. And that person would've stopped a murder or something else...the chain goes on. Sorta like a butterfly effect, I suppose. That totally flips my mind, and scares me. My life could be worse for changing something, or infinitely better. No way to tell.

With Prince, we'll never know, of course.

If it were possible to invent I'd want that stick from Jupiter's Legacy. But making more than one or two would be a problem.

It's a device that can instantly go anywhere in the world it's owner can picture in their mind. Either on it's own or with the owner. ANY. WHERE. Anyplace in the world, any building, even anywhere into someone's body which is why you can't to mass produce them.

Enough people hate U2. Trust me. I'm a musicologist. And some people did love Hitler. That's how we ended up with 50+million dead. Some of those 50 million loved the guy. Hitler in his day was marmite boxed

The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

If you can add value to someone's life then why not. Especially if it colors their days...

The first invisibility movies would always involve nudity. You couldn't make your clothes invisible. Which makes things quite difficult (and impossible in cold weather).

Also, I think it was The X-Files that pointed out the real danger of invisibility. If people, including people in cars, can't see you, they're gonna run into you, unless you're very careful.

There's a German movie called Lola Rennt that's based on that idea.
If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

So your dream invention is a stick that you can put in anyone you want. That's an interesting thing to want.

Ha ha. But no, it's the travel aspect of it that I liked to the pyramids, then to the grand canyon, then to peru all instantly with a spoken word. But in the show the guy said "heart" and the stick went into the other person's heart and back out, killing them of course

That I can make a DVD/Blu Ray of any movie or TV show that doesn't have an official release and not likely going to. Including if the original source does not exist anymore, like film deteriorating or burned up in a fire. A lot of older TV shows were taped over by the networks, thrown out, or were live and not filmed. Which happened to some American Bandstand episodes and I think the 1st season of Soul Train when it was a local show in black & white. There are ones that are never going to be officially released or never going to be on any streaming service. Such as the 1959 Porgy And Bess movie, the 1973 Save The Children concert movie, or the 1970s Jackson Family variety show. The picture & audio quality will automatically be fixed and made into HD even if it was filmed on videotape (not upscaling). It won't have any of that DNR grain removal either like that recent Beatles Get Back program. I have a lot of old music video compilations on VHS that are unlikely to get reissued or I can do it for artists that never had one.

I can also make DVD/Blu Ray of things that have been edited and that's the only version that is available to officially buy like the original Fantasia by Disney & TV shows that had music changed because whoever owned the songs wanted too much money. The DVD version of Married... With Children had the Frank Sinatra theme song removed and replaced with some generic instrumental song. On the SNL Best Of Eddie Murphy DVD, The Beatle songs were removed from a skit and it doesn't make as much sense without them. I still have the original VHS with the songs in them, but I don't have a VCR that works. The VHS also have some other skits that are not on the DVD version at all, like Cottonland with Stevie Wonder.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
