It was funny and sadly true. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Interesting you saw the pandemic and I'd agree. I saw climate change. I'm sure it could fit for so many things. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I watched it, liked it but also found it a bit boring, especially toward the end but I guess the anti-climactic ending was part of the whole idea. It was tad too predictable and over the top for me...too paedagogical at times. Nice little satire to watch on Netflix though. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I liked it. It was a commentary about the last few years of how social media has made us so numb. There are other films like this, however it was campy and worth the watch. I love Leonardo in everything he does, he is one of my favorites of all time. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Yeah, however...I don't think climate change would stop a giant meteor from hitting the Earth at all. It was about our civilization thinking about making money off an event like this happening more than anything. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I just took the whole extinction event aspects of it which a comet would be as the metaphor. But we see the exact same attitudes when the scientists say something about anything seriously life altering. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

the main thing that bothered me about the concept was that they wanted to get gold and diamonds off of the comet...but that would devalue gold and diamonds (well diamonds are over priced by artificial means by about 100X) so they would be opposed to that... seems like it was a poorly concived plot device... I thought their main aim was to harvest much needed rare earths. Of course harvesting them might devalue what they already have in stock but from what I understood the remaining rare earths were not enough for future demands. But I must admit I didn´t really pay that much attention to that part. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Definitely about the environemnt/climate and most people not doing the things we collectively need to do to change the trajectory before it is too late. | |
