Did you, could you, would you rent your christmas tree? London Christmas Tree Rental allows customers to borrow real, potted Christmas trees.
In January of 2018, Londoners Catherine Loveless and Jonathan Mearns became fed up with all the discarded Christmas trees lining the streets of their city, destined for landfill. So, they founded London Christmas Tree Rental, a company that rents out pot-grown Norway Spruce trees around Christmastime, with the motto #adoptdontchop. Interesting idea. Personally i don't do live trees but if I did I can say I would. [Edited 12/22/21 7:58am] Time keeps on slipping into the future...

That would defeat the purpose of the gift. Still it wouldn't create years of problems in the landfill or runoff to the oceans. I'm sure most if not all cities have some kind of tree planting program.
