I guess depending on the court decision will depend on the distribution he gets. I think his biggest problem will be who pays back the 3,000 hours the police used believing his story.

It looks like they need it considering the hundreds of millions CPD has paid out due to police misconduct.

While its an old article, that video footage of the brothers at the store bound to get thrown out. He just hasnt done anything to prove himself correct. I never understood why he would do this to his career, so possibility of it happening is a 50/50

Yeah I'm really just interested in seeing if they will bring up the date on this tape.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong because that reads manufactured evidence and I can see why Chicago wouldn't want that to get out and therefore dismiss charges.

But I haven't heard it brought up yet so maybe it's a non story.

When that didn't happen they decided it would be the last season.

They shot themselves in the foot removing him for people who didn't actually watch the show.

Judge James Linn set a post-trial hearing for Jan. 27, and said he would schedule Smollett's sentencing at a later date. Disorderly conduct is a class 4 felony that carries a prison sentence of up to three years, but experts have said if convicted, Smollett would likely be placed on probation and ordered to perform community service.

Terrence Howard has given his opinion on his former Empire co-star Jussie Smollett's guilty verdict.

Smollett was found guilty for lying about an alleged 2019 hate crime in Chicago. According to EurWeb, Howard talked about Smollett on the Mark My Words radio show with host Mark Vargas, saying that he thought the situation was "interesting."

"[I]t's an uncomfortable question because anyone that's aware of the show or my relationship with Jussie would know that Jussie [was], for six years…my son. He was my son that I had the most difficulty with on that show as far as the character world goes," he said, referencing the storylines that his character Lucious Lyon had regarding his homophobia towards Smollett's character Jamal Lyon.

"[Y]ou end up getting very close to individuals that you have the most struggle with, whose characters you have the most struggle with," Howard continued.
