Power of the Dog Seems movie and show threads have died around here. But it's the holidays they're going to be coming out in droves, I can't get them all in my avatar.
Charismatic rancher Phil Burbank inspires fear and awe in those around him. When his brother brings home a new wife and her son, Phil torments them until he finds himself exposed to the possibility of love.
I'm trying to figure out the charismatic part, he was an a-hole in need of therapy. Good, real dark movie. Very subtle film. You can see the twist end coming but not the form it comes in. [Edited 12/6/21 12:11pm] Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Power of the Dog bored the crap out of me. Great acting and scenery was gorgeous. But I fell asleep at least 3 times throughout the move. it was soooo slowwww. My husband loved it. So maybe I was just tired.
Does the Beatles Get Back count as a movie? Thats the best one I have seen lately.

[Edited 12/7/21 10:52am] It is slow definitely not an adrenaline pumper but if you like unique stories it is definitely that. Yes Get Back is, I saw that too, deserves a rewatch.I'm still stunned it almost looks like it was filmed last week. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

The Electrical Life of Louis Wain
I'm beginning to wonder if Benedict Cumberbatch is trying to fill the hole Daniel Day Lewis left, I think it's the method acting thing, he goes hard with it. I've got another of his to watch which was released this year also. Time keeps on slipping into the future...
