First Celebrity Crush

I was on a live streaming last night, and we got on the topic of our first celebrity crush.

While I loved Lindsey Wagner and Barbara Mandrell, I think my first gay crush, at around age 11, was John Ritter on Three's Company. Funny, furry, goofy, goodhearted, and cooked! I bet he was energetic in bed. haha

So who was yours?

Barbara Streisand singing "Don't Rain On My Parade" in Funny Girl when I was 4 or 5 years old. I was mesmerized.

When I was really young, I had a thing for the wrestler Bret Hart. I'm not sure if you'd call it a crush though. I was probably too young at that point to have a proper attraction to anyone. Other than Bret Hart, the first celebrity who I felt a sexual attraction towards was Sharon Stone. Our mother used to let us watch all kinds of violent movies when we were kids. I think I was about 10 when I first saw Basic Instinct. And well, both Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas made a pretty big impression on me. Not long after that, I saw her in Total Recall and that just confirmed it.

Heavy D. Because who doesn’t love a charismatic big dude who can out-dance most of them? He was my earliest memory of how I always found big bearish men to be the sexiest & most beautiful specimen for me. I’m close to 40 now, my taste in fellas is not as rigid, many are beautiful but somehow still big dudes rule my heart & attention razz

Bob Dale, a local news anchor when I was 1 or 2yo and I have memories of adoring him at 7 and 8yo. The world had to stop when he came on. My auntie teased me about it for years, nobody could get me to do anything until he was through with his program.

I would tend to copy my older sister's crushes. As a tyke I guess I didn't know this wasn't the usual thing. So when my dad got me and my sister photos of Lee Majors, The Six Million Dollar Man, and I said he was cute (in front of my father, I'm pretty sure), my sister informed me that I couldn't think that he was cute because I was a boy.

It's great to think that today, more and more families would not react negatively to such a comment.
