oh snap, wrasslin' mark, eh?

gr8 gr8 VHS collection from the golden age of Monday Night Wars. Never wasaware of that Sunny tape. The Austin tape and a lot of the history ones were solid, solid tapes.

Noticed a lot of WCW 1999. How are you on Vince Russo?

You been checkin' out Dark Side of the Ring this season?

Bron Breakker, next top star?

Yep been a fan since the late 90's all because of one wrestler named GOLDBERG.how long have you been a fan?
I am of those that think vince Russo was sent by vince McMahon to kill WCW.
I have been watching Dark Side of the ring when I can.Last episode I saw was the one on Chris Kanyon and I think Bron Breakker is pretty good.Havent watched enough of him but I see a lot of the steiner brothers in his wrestling style and manurosms.
I only watch NXT for the women, none of the men wrestlers interests me hardly because most of them are almost midgets.I come from a time when big wrestlers were the main eventers

Probably late '97. nWo angle, knew of both old school colorful cheesy Hogan and Macho Man gimmicks, but them heelin' it up in the black&white and the whole nWo vibe was great television.

Actually rejected WWF for the longest time (well, until around mid '98), we had the black box PPV descrambler back in the day and stepdad would be like "WrestleMania's on", the one where Austin won the strap, "eh, NAH, WCW's Monday."

Ha, the size though. Recently got back in to basketball and it's the same thing. Used to be "where the big boys play", land of giants, now it's like dude's who look like they work at GameStop. Then you got like a Kevin Owens with the beer pot belly and the reddit user cadence, plz. Even the fat guys back in the day were giants you wouldn't mess with, Vader, Mabel, etc.

Bron seems like what Vince McMahon wants, though. He loves the nostalgia pops and nostalgia runs (as do the general audience, clearly, as these always pop ratings), this kid exudes both Steiners but is the young version. He's got the potential to build a company around.

I used to love watching wrestling when I was younger. Never watched WCW though because they didn't show it over here. But I loved the old WWF with people like Diesel, Razor Ramon, Double J etc. Bret and Owen Hart were my favourites though. I had such a crush on Bret Hart when I was small. It wasn't the same after he left. And then Owen Hart died and my interest in wrestling died with him. I kept watching sporadically because my little brother was a huge fan but the whole Invasion thing put me off. And them making Stone Cold Steve Austin a villain was just stupid.

A few years ago I tried to get back into it but I didn't know who most of the wrestlers were and the ones I did know were all old. The only modern wrestler I know is Finn Balor/Prince Devitt (or whatever he's called now) and that's only because my brother used to train with him in his gym.

There was another guy I knew called Velveteen Dream. I seen him in TV once. Just googled him there and yeah.... He probably won't be back.

I seen one clip of that new promotion, AEW, and it just looked stupid. It reminded me of when my brother and his friends would play wrestling in the park when they were kids.

Yeah, AEW's like the wrestling nerds going full unabashed wrestling nerd cubed. Always curious what non-wrestling nerds make of it.... Seems about right.

Stone Cold heel turn was maybe the worst move in wrestling history, 2nd only to that weak-ass aforementioned "Invasion" where WCW didn't even have any of their top stars because Vinnie Mac didn't want to buy out any AOL/Time Warner contracts.

Ever check out Bret Hart's Wrestling with Shadows, Emma? (shhhh)

I heard of that Wrestling With Shadows doc but I've never seen it. I might watch it tonight.

Funnily enough, even though Vince McMahon was always portrayed as a complete bastard, I always liked him. I always felt he played the part really well. Then I grew up and found out that he was essentially just being himself and that even in real life he's a complete bastard lol

Yes most of the wrestlers now days either look like waiters or fans.I remember when Kevin Owens faced Goldberg a few years ago,it looked like a wrestler beating up a fan.I have to give Goldberg a lot of credit,he is almost 60 but is in better shape physically than the rest of the roster
I have been watching since 1998 and now days it's mostly due to habit and the hope that the company will get better and as good as it use to be
I starred to see a decline in WWE around 2015 or so.Seems like many of the wrestlers don't have personally or are boring
I enjoy the female wrestling more than the men wrestling now days. The women put on better matches

I thought velveteen dream was cool but mostly because his character was somewhat based on Prince. His finisher was called the "Purple Rainmaker".
You are gonna want to put me in the sharpshooter or the chicken wing move but I am gonna say this Anyway
I always thought Bret hart was kinda boring.I liked his character and his catch phrase but he just didn't interest me in the ring for some reason
Maybe cuz I'm not too much on technical wrestlers that put many holds on others,I like the power wrestling like goldberg,Batista,Brock lesnar. The ones that throw their opponents around easily
I would definently recommend " The wrestling with shadows" Bret hart documentary. it is a must see
Some wrestlers actually believe the screwjob was planned by both Vince and Bret
But yeah Vince is a bastard,a genius bastard at that.

I'm not being disrespectful when I say all this:

If you want more views, post interesting videos. Your stuff is all someone else's property. King of the Hill, wrestling, and Prince videos? That can be found in 10,000,000 places. That makes the channel uninteresting. No shade, but you'll never get views that way.

Honestly, even if you have new and original content every week, there is no guarantee you'll get tons of views. And you certainly won't make money. Making money on YouTube is vastly different than it used to be. Even someone with 1M views may only make a couple thousand dollars. It's constant engagement, views, sharing, etc.

I had a cooking show for two years, over 100 episodes, plus a vlog (which, admittedly, I wasn't that into ultimately), and gaming videos. NOTHING. I realized I was doing the wrong thing and quit all of it. (My schedule cleared right up after that. HA!)

Just know this, you have less than 1/10 of 1% chance of making a living on YouTube. 99.9% of people have the same chance.

But posting clips of someone else's stuff is not the way to get views or engagements.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

The reason I gravitated toward Bret Hart is twofold. First, as I said before, I had a mega crush on him. The pink and black attire, the hair, the body, the whole look. Secondly, he was different. When I think back to when I started watching as a child, I think of all the ridiculous (but admittedly, cool) gimmicks. There was a clown, a garbage man, a country singer, a race car driver, a pig farmer and whatever Goldust was. They were all good but ridiculous. Bret Hart always came across as the real deal. His moves looked like they really hurt and when he got hurt he sold it so well that even though I knew it wasn't "real", I was worried that he may actually be hurt.

And a bonus reason for why I liked Bret so much was because he was always fighting against Shawn Michaels. And I hated Shawn Michaels.

I remember I taped Survivor Series 97 because I was too young to stay up to watch it live. The next day I watched it and got so angry lol If that was all planned out ahead of time then it was some of the best acting I've ever seen. It was because of that incident that I eventually stopped watching. Stone Cold was always worth tuning in for but then they turned him into a comedy character too. Ruined the whole thing for me.

I actually like the idea of getting back into it but the wrestlers now aren't the same as they used to be.

For me 2003 was the last great year for WWE
You had the rise of randy Orton and john cena,Kane unmasked,Goldberg debuted in wwe,The rock turned heel but was still being cheered.Plus we had bra and panties matches
I have never liked Shawn Michaels either. He was a prick and even he would admit that.Did you happen to see when Bret hart first returned to wwe in 2010 and made amends with Shawn Michaels and Vince??
It was great TV.Bret even had a match with Vince at that years wrestlemania

Have you played wwe 2k20?? I love putting the old wrestlers against the current roster. One great thing about wrestlers in the video game world is that they never age

I did see Bret Hart coming back in 2010, yes. That was around the same time that I met him at a book signing here in Dublin if I remember correctly. In my life I've met two wrestlers. Bret Hart and Chris Jericho. What struck me about both of them was that on TV they look small compared to the other wrestlers but in person they are fucking huge. Especially Bret Hart. The man was like a giant. I'm quite small anyway so most people look big to me but he was massive. And this was in 2009 or 2010 when he was old and not in the same shape he was in in his prime.

I don't play many games. I'd play some of the old Smackdown games with my brother years ago though. Or No Mercy on the N64. We'd always do handicap matches where he'd be Jeff Hardy and I'd be Lita and we'd beat the shit out of Matt Hardy, LOL. I only play 3 or 4 games a year now though. Two kids and a third likely coming in the next few days means my time is better spent elsewhere. So when I do get to play something I just stick to a story-based RPG or something like Animal Crossing. Hence, my avatar.
