Why does a guy dig a girl with long flowy hair, do you know how hard it is taking care of it, shampooing it, blowing drying it, I'm seriously thinking about cutting off all my hair, no I'm not going to be ball head, but you know at least to a mimminum where it doesn't have to troublesome... but before I do anything I just wanted to you guys opinnons, why does it seems like most guys are attracted to women with long hair?

Yeah keeping-up long hair can be a bitch, mines down to the middle of my back, it's alot of work but I think most men prefer long hair rather than short.

Aaliyah! It depends on the person, but I tend to like longer hair. I can't really explain why. I just like running my fingers through long strands of hair.

I think traditionally, long hair is simply something that has separated guys and gals (at least in modern American culture).

Personally, I think it all depends on the woman, her face, her style, etc. Halle Berry and Jada Pinkett-Smith, for example, look amazing with the pixie cuts, but Angelina Jolie and Aaliyah benefit from their longer styles. They all look stunning to me.

For most women, long hair is the way to go. It's worth the effort! One of the first things that grabs my attention about a woman is her hair... and I've seen some women who used to be rather ordinary-looking suddenly look 1000x better by virtue of growing their hair and taking care of it.

There aren't many women I've seen who can pull off short hairstyles without looking very masculine... in a bad way.

And even for some black women the issue of "nappy hair" vs. chemically treated hair which is just as much of an issue of "what is beautiful?" than the long/short hair issue.

I've always had short hair...looks like shit when long (even my profile pic has a bit more hair than i usually keep) and i get plenty of attention...my man has even made me promise not to grow it ...a matter of personal preference i guess
