Great question. I have, at last count, over 8 thousand DVDs in my collection. The last time I counted was close to 10 years ago at this stage. I'd estimate that I probably have close to 10 thousand now. But I haven't bought any in about 3 years and the last one I bought was Top Gun 3D. And at the time I bought it I had just gotten rid of my 3D TV so I've only ever watched it through my PSVR lol

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Do music documentaries count? Then it's Rolling Thunder Revue, a Bob Dylan Story directed by Martin Scorsese.
Otherwise it's The Hateful Eight.
If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

I'm considering buying Song Of The South but I doubt it will be remastered. I don't like it when you buy a BD and get VHS quality

I don't think Disney has ever released this on home video other than a laserdisc that came out in Japan. The CEO of Disney said it wasn't going to be put on Disney+ either. They even recently got rid of the ride at Disneyworld that was based on Song Of The South. So whatever you're planning to buy is probably a bootleg. I've seen a site that sells it and the Star Wars Christmas Special too.

That's a very rough estimate but it's definitely around that figure. About 10 years ago, when I was pregnant on my daughter, I was sitting around the house with nothing to do so I decided to count my DVD collection. There were over 8 thousand at that point. The following few years I kind of calmed down a bit with my spending habits (a new baby tends to have that effect) but I still bought a lot. Though it got less and less over time and like I said, I haven't actually added to my collection in about 3 years, the last one being Top Gun. In 3D. Despite not owning a 3D TV at the time I bought it lol

8,000?! That's a bunch
I have around 1,000.I have a small bedroom and with the amount of DVDs I have,it was getting a bit crowded. So to save room I did away with a bunch of the cases and put my DVDs in paper sleeves.
Now it is harder to find a certain DVD but I save a lot of room.

I had a spare room for all my DVDs and games consoles but my daughter wanted her own room (she had been sharing with her brother til now) so we're currently in the process of converting the attic into something of a "cinema room". We're having the guy put in custom made shelves to house the DVDs too. It should all look pretty good once it's finished. My husband had suggested getting rid of the cases too but I couldn't do that. That's sacrilege to me lol .

That's probably more DVDs than my local blockbuster use to have back in the day.

It has just been released in Spain as Canción Del Sur
I think I'll give it a chance

Hmm, probably the last movie I bought was Sign Of The Times from Canada because they didn't sell it here. That was a while ago... The only other things I bought on DVD during the pandemic was the entire original Law and Order series and Columbo. razz lol
