Also one of the deepest thinkers and one of the kindest men (I had the honor of meeting him once).

I don't think I've ever been so broken up about the passing of a celebrity.

All his interviews on Conan are gold. Look up his "Moth joke" or his story about the life saving pig. My favourite clip was when he was talking about his "battle-axe" of a wife. Hilarious man.

Conan's podcast (and all the other famous reactions on YouTube) make it seem like he had no idea Norm was sick. It seems nobody did, which is crazy, like, you'd think he'd let maybe one famous buddy or two know but it seems like he played that close to the vest with zero exceptions.

But surely Conan himself thought the same thing about him not appearing on that final show... Then to get this news a couple months later. Very sad.

Norm seemed underappreciated in life by the mainstream, but for this singular moment in time, he was absolutely treated like the legend he truly was. Norm even seems a little choked up:
