NYC floods. You all ok? What's the situation and are you safe? If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

I'm 3 hours north of NYC. We had rain, rain, and more rain. No winds, and no tornadoes like Jersey and other areas. Some flooding in a few areas that are notorious for it. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Yep, it was pretty wild here in Fun City. Never seen it rain so hard like this in such a short amount of time. I live in da Bronx and work in Manhattan. Subway service was suspended, so I worked from home today. Hopefully mass transit will be fully running tomorrow.
I felt for all those motorists whose cars were ruined in all that water. If I see a huge puddle, I'm going the other way.

I also live in the Bronx & usually need to travel to or through Manhattan for work. The worst thing that happened was my train had no service to the south Bronx and northern Manhattan, so I got on an express bus (conveniently at the same intersection as my train) which costs more than twice as much, I think.
