Wrote an “alpha” poem

Wanted to share this poem here

Alpha

I ate Alpha bits cereal before I knew the prince song alphabet street. And before then I knew of alphabet magnets, sorted by rainbow colours from red to purple, and I feel I may also be on the spectrum. I don’t feel I want to end up with an alpha male, and just want to keep it real. In the closet. Where we feel closest, without outside interference such as the alphabet soup like state we find ourselves in when we have no time for alpha bitches.

That's a really interesting poem! Do you mean you feel you may be on the autism or aspergers spectrum?

Yes I meant aspergers. I think I’m undiagnosed with it and felt that for many years

And aw thanks, glad you liked it

I don't know where you are but here in England I believe if you go to your gp they can refer you for diagnosis. But, if you find out you are will it affect how you feel about yourself? My 50 year old colleague did this a few job ago and felt relief he had an answer as to why he felt different.. Then he got depressed as he felt he was weird and it took therapy for him to see he is like everyone else as *everyone* has quirks. So you'd need to be sure you're going to be happy either way with a yes or no. He wound up happy, then neutral I guess as time went on

I’m thinking of asking my family doctor for a referral. I asked the psychiatrist and my counsellor for referrals too but they couldn’t make them. I’m in Canada. I would be relieved to have a label to what I deal with, but mainly feel bitter about being misunderstood in the past, especially when I was a kid
