Dune trailer I don't feel qualified to post this because, disclaimer, I've never read any of the books. Stil....I have watched the movie a few times over the years and have been strangely drawn to it. I was looking forward to this but I don't like the cast. They all look too young. It's like they cast a bunch of children. It makes it look like an adaptation of some shitty YA novel. | |

The main character is supposed to be 16. I remember seeing the first movie and being disappointed because Kyle Maclachlan didn't look 16. |

He's bald, looks a bit ambiguous but is highly recognizable. There's only a handful of guys in Hollywood that fit that description. Vin Diesel was busy. Even though I have a soft spot for David Lynch's directors cut of Dune, the new trailer looks and feels more like the book reads. Can't wait. Love Denis Villeneuve. |

I've always thought that the first 90 minutes of that film is an excellent adaptation of the first 50 pages of the book, it's just they then try and fit 500 odd more pages into the next 40 minutes! | |
