great choices, I'm happy you put Jordan as the no.1. I think he is the all time best but the guys here in my office disagree. They think Kobe's got him beat.

Kobe?!! No way. It's a little early in his career to put him on the ALL TIME list. He's a damn good player and he will be on the list eventually I just don't see him hanging with the all time greats...just yet.

I agree and that is what I tell these dudes but they insist for his age he has surpassed what Jordan was when he was this age.

Larry Johnson? LARRY JOHNSON?!? You are the alltime greatest Knick homer I've ever seen!

Larry Johnson doesn't even belong on the KNICK'S 10 Best of All-Time List, much less the NBA's list.

You'd rate Johnson over Willis Reed?

OK, OK, enough Larry Johnson bashing. It's all in jest, anyway. Here's my list. Feel free to bash me in return!

1. Michael Jordan
2. Wilt Chamberlin
3. Magic Johnson
4. Hakeem Olajuwan
5. Larry Bird
6. Oscar Robertson
7. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
8. Julius Erving
9. John Stockton
10. Jerry West

I'm a little shaky on the Stockton pick, because I don't think he's a clean player. It's a shame - he doesn't need to be a chickenshit to be great, and all the CS stuff he does is on the defensive end of the court.

OK, let's cut him, and in his place, add:

9. Pete Maravich

Ask me in two or three years, and I'll probably have Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant on the list.

Bill Russell
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Julius Erving
Michael Jordan
Magic Johnson
Larry Bird
Shaquille O'Neal
Karl Malone

Shame on NovaAngel who put John Stockton and Isiah on the list and didn't include the Big O.

Also, to the person who put Larry Johnson on your list...are you high?

re Larry Johnson

I'm English and would only ever catch the highlights of games on a Saturday afternoon. Whenever Larry was playing (For Charlotte Hornets at the time) He would be amazing. He done one of the best dunks I have ever seen. Because it was highlights they probably skipped over the parts where he sucked ass, but from what I saw he had mad skills! nod

I've heard about Oscar Robertson being a badass but confess that I don't know much about him. But Isaiah? You can't deny the man had skills? Stockton, okay you can make an argument there but I'm going on the level of play and consistency he's shown over the years with Malone. The man is bad.

He already gave his motives behind this seemingly insane pick.

I agree that Stockton can be dirty but his lack of any natural athletism negates that! He may very well be the smartest point guard ever though. So fundamentally sound. IMO, Jason Kidd is sort of an extention of Stockton. They both have unbelievable vision...but Kidd is quicker and taller obviously.
