Any critically acclaimed movies that you don't like?

The first one that comes to mind is Saving Private Ryan. I just thought the whole thing was so boring. For starters, the idea that a military patrol is sent out to save one soldier just because it's so said for his mummy is stupid. And then yes, of course, first they find the wrong guy. And then there's trouble among the men. And then when they find him, he doesn't want to go. Boring!
Apocalyps Now is another one. This silly idea of that colonel who loves surfing. And then Marlon Brando being so... Marlon Brando! Boring!
Alright! What's yours?
If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

Yes, a LOT of the Oscarbait from the late 90s-early 2010s. Biopics, Britfetish, Brad Sh*tt films, etc, all seemed to tickle reviewer sweet spots, but aside from a few, I generally found them laborious, repetitive and tiresome. It was great when the critics got bored too and started to turn on movies like Grace of Monaco, Concussion ("Tell de troof!"), Fifth Estate, etc in the mid-10s.

Yea, Fargo. I don't get what's so great about it. I don't like how it makes fun of Minnesota.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

Some of the acting is great, but some of Fargo definitely rubbed me the wrong way. A woman is kidnapped by a psychopath and her terror is played as slapstick. One of the few Asian characters in any Coen bros. film is a stereotype. (Yes, many white Minnesotans are also stereotypes, but they have smart and/or more dimensional characters to balance them out.)
