Smallville actress gets 3 years in prison Actress Allison Mack Sentenced to 3 Years in Prison for Role in Nxivm Sex Cult
The U.S. Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of New York announced the sentence, which also includes a $20,000 fine.
Mack, 38, faced a maximum of 40 years behind bars before stepping into the U.S. District Court in Brooklyn for her 11 a.m. sentencing, though federal sentencing guidelines recommended a lower punishment of 14 to 17 1/2 years.
he actress — best known for her years-long role as young Superman's friend, Chloe Sullivan, on The WB's Smallville — was among six people accused of sex trafficking, forced labor, racketeering, wire fraud and other charges for their roles in Nxivm, which operated out of Albany but suspended operations in 2018.

This happened in my town, literally just down the road. We passed the old NXIVM offices last Saturday. How we never ran into Allison Mack over recent years is beyond me.

It was Keith Rainerie's thing, but people said her initials were part of it. They literally branded the women that were sex slaves in the cult.

No, Albany. The NXIVM office was over on New Karner Rd, between Central Ave and Watervliet-Shaker Rd. Just down from there was Pitney-Bowes, where I worked a long while back. It's mostly a road with those type of office complexes. And they were just in any other non-descript building.
42°44'28.93"N 73°50'25.03"W is the coordinate of their former office. They've taken the 455 address off the front for some reason.

She was never getting 40 years or anything close to that. I read multiple times that 14 was the likely max but she turned and snitched and basically gave prosecutors and the courts everything they wanted in hopes of getting a lighter sentence. I guess it worked. She's also evidently done a bunch of things to turn her life around and the courts had received more than one request that she get no prison time at all. I look forward to hopefully not having to hear about all this anymore until she's released, when I'm sure there will be another 1000 articles about it. |
