Disney buying DC? What? Now, a new report has dived into the ins and outs of the deal, and at this stage it looks a lot more likely that Disney could end up buying DC than Justice League 2 or 3 happening, which would certainly be a shocking turn of events. As per the story, AT&T want out of the entertainment sector altogether, and once the new WarnerDiscovery conglomerate has officially been formed, the company will look to sell it off. DC has been tied to the Time Warner corporation in one capacity or another since the 1960s, with the comic publishing company helping provide a wealth of characters and intellectual property to inspire movies and television. Over the past decade or so, DC's own role as a subsidiary of Warner Bros. has changed significantly with the advent of DC Entertainment, which manages both the publishing arm and the various other adaptations inspired by the characters. Those evolutions have only grown more public since AT&T's purchase of Time Warner in 2018, with some highly publicized executive changes and creative decisions on both the film and publishing sides. OR Will it be Amazon? Time keeps on slipping into the future...

With what? They just bought 20th Century Fox (without Fox News). Disney has been losing money since Covid closed all of the Disneyland parks & cruise ships. They've also had to postpone their movies over a year including Marvel since most theaters were closed. I'm not sure this will be approved since it would be a monopoly if Disney owns the 2 biggest comic book companies Marvel & DC. If Disney bought Dark Horse Comics that would be different. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. I'm guessing you seen this on that We Got This Covered website. Just so you know, that website is full of shit. The writers publish their own wishful thinking and pass it off as news. You should have seen their "exclusive scoops" on Avengers Infinity War, all of which turned out to be bullshit. Disney is not buying DC. | |

Disney theme parks were losing money. A lot of it. Nothing else Disney related has been losing money. They are so profitable they basically print their own, which is why they were able to take billions in loses while their parks were closed. | |
