I guess if they're spayed and neutered then it won't be exchanging one problem for another. Hopefully they'll significantly diminish the rat population well enough before, well you know, cycle of life and all. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I guess this is happening in a lot of cities for different reasons. I just learned that in my city the Humane Society has been setting feral cats loose, for 18 months, to live out their lives after they've spayed and nuetered them and checked their general health. Nothing about rats. Maybe lizards. But PETAs pissed, been suing to no avail. They are making a case about the feral bird species. We used to have a sizable feral parrot population but over the last few years they've all but gone. My concern is the roads. The pop. is rapidly increasing, more vehicles on the road. Time keeps on slipping into the future...
