Also I feel the term is outdated but that’s what the play was called in the 70s

Nah I don't think see her as Storm. I think Iman would have been perfect for the role

Iman would have been great! I'm surprised they didn't consider her. I thought Halle Berry was pretty mediocre in the role but got better in the sequels.

The studio went for Halle Berry because she's a bigger name. Now Halle Berry would be perfect for Vixen

Yes. I’m Canadian so we spell it that way

But you spell it that way if you're calling (god forbid) someone or something coloured. You spell the title of a movie the way it's spelled on the poster. For Colored Girls.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I love her snl skits, my favourite is the one with prince and Paula Abdul

I wonder what kind of skits she would have done in 2008 if she didn’t cancel the appearance

Had she had any surgery by the time her first album (headshot in pool) came out? If not, her beauty is so so natural. Saying that, her sisters are both attractive women without surgery. Even with all she's done now, I think La toya has remained very pretty even with the uneccesary surgical adjustments. I like her a great deal (Lt) personally too. She's prob my favourite Jackson as I feel like she is full of surprises and a bit quirky, lots of get up and go. Very intelligent. Janet seems more worldly than LT, tougher and I suppose more normal. I can't recall the last time I saw rebbie except she seems the most down to earth.

So which are the dumb ones, then?

Why would a child have plastic surgery???? Are you fucking mad?! She was 16!!! Y'all really go to some dark places.

Janet's had the same face until more recent years. The same smile, the same nose, chin, cheek bones. The only thing that moved to new places was her baby fat. She's finally - as Tina Turner said - grown into her face. I think that happened around 2001, imo.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I edited my post as you replied to be more clear

I don't think there are any dim Jacksons actually but I do think La toya is someone who learns new things gladly, she did that police training and studied law I saw an article on it a while back. That's all.

I didn't know she was 16 whoah chill out, found you a bit unnecessarily rude there. She's a Jackson they don't age, I assumed she was in her 20s

Janet admitted that she had her nose done. LaToya and Rebbie also had their noses done.

Love her but I think she’s used Botox and fillers in recent years and feel she didn’t need to do that cause she’s so beautiful

They've all had the nose job (albeit a couple of 'em way more than all the rest put together), but that's basically included at this point. Except LaToya & MJ, they all got that Thriller nose.

Anyways, back to the acting

Who remembers poetic justice hype? I first heard of it in the pay per view commercials in the 90’s and wanted to see it

I loved the scene in Poetic Justice when Janet is in her house listening to Stevie Wonder's Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer. Also want to mention her scenes with Regina King were great! The movie is a great snapshot of the early 90s. Really miss John Singleton and Tupac.

Wow! That's weird if they were praising Janet for multiple roles which we know she didn't do unless there were deleted scenes of her playing another character. Strange.

I was wondering if anyone has ever been able to find clips of Janet in a sitcom that only lasted one year called A New Kind of Family. It was supposedly retooled about halfway through with her and Telma Hopkins being added to the cast. Rob Lowe was another cast member. As far as I can tell there is nothing online.

Yeah, it's a 2-parter. She played Delia Parks in "Scandinavia Cruise: Girl of the Midnight Sun/There'll Be Some Changes Made/Too Many Isaacs/Mr. Smith Goes to Stockholm." Season 8, episodes 19-20. I recently just watched it. I think it's on HBO Max or Paramount+.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.
