I take it you don't have theater groups where you live? I have a strange stage fright. As a kid I could participate in plays and do very well with no complaining but I preferred not and got off stage asap. Yet I had my kids in theatre group thru their entire childhood til they graduated hs but neither pursued it further. Though a couple in their group got some commercials, one got signed for a couple of Disney movies, eventually we lost contact with her. Haven't seen her in a long while. But I remember her mom had to be on set with her everyday like a fulltime job. Luckily they had a lot of family support. If you want to do this then you ought to.l at any available opportunity possible. Time moves awfully swiftly for something that doesn't exist. I’m sure there’s theatre groups, but I’m already involved in the poetry scene, and have been onstage many times to share poetry. I’m sure I’ll be an extra or do a fringe play one day, but I don’t know what I would want it to be about at all

Yeah I've heard that a lot but it's not for me I don't get the joy of it. Oh well. My kids did and it helps. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Yes definitely an option! I would love to look back years from now and say I managed to do it. Also I know several acquaintances who participated in plays over the years so got in touch with them cause I started working on something for the stage [Edited 4/21/21 9:48am]

Never been an actor, but I always thought it looked like fun. Not sure if I could do it without getting too nervous. I once had to sing in front of a crowd of people. My knees were shaking, I just wanted to get it over with - lol. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

But I give thumbs down... the performance is not very convincing and quite one dimensional [Edited 4/28/21 15:58pm] #SOCIETYDEFINESU

Years later (like … 20 years), he came to see a show I was in. Afterward he said, "You know … you're really good. You should keep at that." Gee ... thanks Dad. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Our dads should meet, mine didn’t encourage me to apply for arts and entertainment programs though he supported my vocal lessons and set up some piano gigs for me, but that’s all. I do like what I chose but sometimes wonder if I would have been happier pursuing entertainment, I got opportunities to share my music at different events over the years though, along with having a non related career, so it worked itself out

I played a sheep in the school nativity play when I was 6 which was fucking bullshit casting on so many levels. 1) I’m a New Zealander (was in U.K) so it was a case of grotesque type casting. 2) As the only Jewish kid in the class, I should have been baby Jesus. But, if you want to draw on my experience, I’d be happy to help in any way that I can. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!
