The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Just finished epi1, which seems to be the only one available. Obviously not enough to judge whether this is going to be a good series. But I am noting the irony of it. Anyone wanna take it further? Time keeps on slipping into the future...

The Falcon seems down to earth & The Winter Soldier has his head in the clouds. "Whatever skin we're in

The Winter Soldier got a lot of stuff to work through. Dating would be a bit rough. A bit. Captain American looks goofy as heck. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I like the juxtaposition of Bucky going thru therapy and working out his demons, but Falcon is just sorta poppin' thru this life. His problems are family based, and are good backstory for him. Bucky's issues are actually relatable, since many people have PTSD or trauma they deal with in their sleep and while awake. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

It appears to me this series will tie into the issues that this country is dealing with today. I'm very interested to see how this plays out. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Epi2 I think I'll like this. The new Captain America isn't really goofy looking it's that danged cap it does make he look goofy. He seems like a cool humble guy, he's no Steve but he's committed to putting out his best. I can root for him. I don't think i like the personal tensions but I guess it's necessary. I'm excited to move on into the story. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

He is a bit ill matched for the coming baddies. It feels so wrong calling them baddies. I don't know who Battlestar is supposed to be but it seems a lot chatter is about him. You think Chris will make a guess appearance? I don't know. He's an old guy now. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Right, I'm up to date now on this show. After the mind fuckery of Wandavision this seems like a more straightforward show. More emotional than the trailers suggested though. Going in, I was expecting Lethal Weapon with superheroes but, as awesome as that would be, Falcon & The Winter Soldier seems to be more than that. I kind of like Kurt Russell's son as the new Captain America. Not as a replacement for the real Captain America but rather as a potential villain. He's got one of those faces I'd like to slap, you know? I agree with the sentiment that he could very well be a red herring. Making him a villain might be a bit TOO obvious? I can see him potentially letting his own ego be his downfall and maybe falling in battle while trying to live up to Steve Rogers. Or maybe I'm just overthinking it and he'll just be a bad guy who Falcon will beat to get his shield back. Either way, I'm satisfied. So far, both leads are hitting it out of the park. The scene in the bank where Sam is trying to get a loan was played to perfection and it's nice to see Marvel lean into how fucked America can be when it comes to race. That scene where the police show up and automatically assume Sam is at fault is another good example. You don't expect a Disney produced superhero show to deal with that stuff so it makes for a refreshing change. Likewise, Bucky has had his moments too. The therapy scenes are great, especially the one where they have to sit face to face and Bucky lets slip how he fears that Steve Rogers might be wrong about him. Both men seem to be living in Steve's shadow at the moment so it will be interesting to see how they deal with that, and each other, over the course of the show. Overall, really strong stuff from Marvel.

Overall, really strong stuff from Marvel. No idea that was Kurt's son now I feel really bad. Hope they don't just kill him off regardless of which way they go. Im not seeing him becoming bad guy but maybe it rolls that way in the comics. I really don't wanna look. I want to enjoy having it unfold. The entire Marvel verse is a mystery to me outside of the Hulk. I knew of none of these characters existence. I saw a drawing or 2 of CA over the years, outside of that, nothing. It was weird having my 80yo aunt super excited to see him (the character) on big screen and here I pretty much never heard of him. I get now but then I was like how she know about any of this. The real world aspect is the hook I think. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

It makes the whole thing that bit more exciting.

I kind of prefer Bucky. Especially when he's in all the Winter Soldier gear. With the metal arm. I'm kind of weird like that.

Chris Evans is a very good looking man. For some odd reason, though I can see why others find him attractive, hugh doesn't do it for me. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

EmmaMcG said: I'm loving their chemistry, the 3 of them. I don't get the purple mask. Well I read a thing or 2 about it so I know but don't remember if it showed up in the movies. Gotta go back and refamiliarize myself with who the heck Sharon is. I'm wondering how much of a presence Ayo is going to have, I'm guessing a lot considering. I was kind of expecting the new Captain America to be a bit of a bastard but that was intense. Especially for a Disney Plus show. I liked it though. I think this show's portrayal of the new Cap has been on the money so far. It does a great job of showing just how different he is from Steve Rogers. He's almost like the complete opposite of Steve. Also, I never really paid much attention to Zemo in Civil War. He was there more of a plot device to set up the conflict within the Avengers and wasn't really used for anything else. But here, given more screentime, he really shines. Plus, he even made me crave a turkish delight. Which I hate. So there's that.

Seems to be drawing parallels between Karli and JW. They both have good intentions. I understand Zemo is well rooted in the comics. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I feel like the series took a turn and it was quite refreshing and nice. It's been a lot of back and forth in the first two episodes. Episode 3 was a regrounding, then episode 4 was like "hold my beer." Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Yeah we all knew it was going to go left but some of us had no clue how far. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I guess T'Chaka's brother wasn't the 1st one to sneak a little something out of Wakanda. Dr. Erskine must of synthesized his serum from a bud of the heart shaped herb because it's odd to me that black panther has the same strength upon consuming it yet the serum was a bit unpredictable so it wasn't in the herbs pure form.
.....
Looks like the next episode is coming down to a standoff...
JW: You don't wanna do this.
Bucky: Yeah we do.
