Safe to order TV'S online??

So I have found a great JVC 43 inch 4k tv on walmart for sale for a great price.
Little nervous because the problem is it is a online only purchase and it is not sold in stores.I have been reading reviews past week or so.
Some people recieve their TVs in great shape and some recieve them completely broken.
Just curious if any of you have ordered a TV online before?

I ordered a 65" Samsung TV online on amazon and 65" Sony from Costco. Everything was fine. Just make sure you can return it if it's defective.

Do you have buyers protection in USA if you buy on credit card?

In the fine print, you usually have at least 14 days to send it back if there are defects after delivery.

And, "i" before "e", except after "c".

Here you are automatically protected if you buy on credit card a faulty product I feel sure it must be the same for you over the pond. The cc company refund you?

Does that go for debit cards too?

Lastly. I know nothing of your finances! But I know thanks to pandemic some people no longer have eligibility for a credit card or thanks to lifes lottery might not have to start with. If you are one of these people you can get a credit card that builds your score back up that would help with the purchase, here I tbink its something called ocean credit card so I assume in USA there would be equivalent, so if you read the above links and tbink that they might work for you and don't have a credit card this could be a way. This is not financial advice I'm just going on stuff I heard at work about 5 years ago but if you research and it turns out to be valid then very happy to help

Thanks for the advice.I will look into it
I have always been paranoid about having credit cards.A buddy of mine had one years ago.It got stolen by a family member of his and he got into some serious debt
The smart thing would've been to report him but being that it was his nephew that stole the card,he didnt.

Try and get one with online banking app so you can check daily nothing untoward has gone out? In USA a debit card may cover you but I think it may still only be credit.

If your debit card is issued by one of the major credit card companies through your financial institution (mine is a VISA, issued by my credit union), you can recover fraudulent charges. You have to report them, though - and if the card company finds the person who made the charges, they'll attempt to prosecute them.

This has NOTHING to do with insurance coverage for damaged items, however.

The biggest concern with credit cards isn't fraud. That's covered. It's how people handle credit, themselves.

I haven't ordered TVs online but have other products in the past year like shelves, etc. Sometimes they are damaged, sometimes not. That's the problem with products made in China now with little quality control. Many times the damage comes from the factory and not from the mail. Products sold and delivered by Amazon are much easier to return, plus you can get someone on the phone. Even for damaged products I've kept, I've talked Amazon into giving me discounts for.
