Wandavision question I had several but I got most of them answered but I see this one nobody else noticed and I'm thinking i missed a chunk of the show but don't have the time right now to go back. How many total times did Monica go into the Hex? It seems to me 2x BUT Darcy says just before they plan for Monica's 2nd time that she's already gone in twice which would mean that was actually her 3rd time. Then D says it again to Vision once she's in the Hex. Or I heard it incorrectly and got mixed up. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

First time when she met Agent Woo and went in. Her molecules were changed.
Second, when she was blasted through the four walls. On her way out she hit that force field that changes things. Third when she went back in and finally realized her powers. So, 1, in, 2 , out, 3, back in. Confusing I know I messed it up too [Edited 3/4/21 16:12pm] -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Ok looks like i need to go back to epi3. I thought once anyone went in they forgot who they were so I didn't realize she and Woo went in the 1st time and they just touched it. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

The big takeaway is that it isn't how many times you go in, but how many time a person touches the "wall" border. I'm actually very excited for her origin. I love her character, and want her with Woo in their own series. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Just for those who don't know, this is all supposed to (allegedly) lead into a Doctor Strange series or something. I don't know how, but we'll see. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Woo then now has had exposure to the Hex twice, does that mean he is on his way to having superpowers or were Monica's latent? Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I hope it's because Monica is special. It's not required, because so far her character has been excellent. But I like the idea of characters realizing their inner potential based on their quality of spirit. That said, no spoilers, but I unfortunately fell this series could have done better for a finale. Just imo. It might have more to do with my expectations, but there are to me some glaring issues. Just know there is a mid credits scene and an end credits scene. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Okay SPOILERS for those who haven't seen it yet (and why haven't you?)... . . . . . . . . . . . . The series finale was great. There is a mid-credit and post-credit scene.

I have gone back since and watched a couple of the movies. I had no clue who Monica was though I could tell you're supposed to. That was the biggest one for me. My son had to tell me that one. I had to go back to understand Jimmy Woo's card trick and how Darcy entered the picture. I was questioning the number 2800 now I understand it's referencing the comic universe. From what I'm told there's meddling of a few ideas from the various comic universes. It's definitely more about magic. Funny how Tony Stark is dead, the embodiment of technology. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

People who died in the snap came back but people who died by other means did not. Loki is dead and not coming back, for example. At least, the Loki we've come to know over the last few movies. I suppose it's possible they could bring Tony Stark back by saying he's from an alternate universe or through more time travel shenanigans (like they're doing with Loki and Gamora) but doing so would really cheapen the most dramatic moment of the entire MCU. I read a few months ago that Robert Downey Jr was rumoured to have been in talks about returning to the MCU at some point (along with Chris Evans) but I would assume that if such a thing did happen it would be either for flashback scenes or possibly a cameo in the Doctor Strange multiverse movie. Nothing substantial or long lasting. Besides, the amount of new superheroes being introduced over the next few years is going to be crazy. I dare say they don't need Captain America or Iron Man anymore. Having said all that, they're doing an Ironheart show for Disney Plus with the intention of having her appear in future Avengers movies so Downey Jr could be the voice of her suit, similar to how Paul Bettany voiced JARVIS. They could easily work in a way that before he died he uploaded his consciousness to a supercomputer and acts as a mentor to Ironheart. [Edited 3/7/21 1:18am]

My major problems with the finale: Tone shift. This has been a wonderfully creative show taking on the trapping of various sitcoms and suddenly it's a dragon ball z episode. I did like wanda's solution to agatha, and the visions solution to vision. Not enough Monica. My new favorite character was on her tail most of the episode. I'm excited to see her new powers come out. Give her all of Captain Marvel 2 plz! The strongest of all time! The charm of Wanda is that she's extremely powerful, but will not go all out. In this case she did, and honestly there's not enough punishment. I feel that's coming in the future, but this series should have ended with clear negative effects. Instead, she gets the real vision back in the mcu, and possibly her kids calling for her to help in the end credits. Oh, and she's somehow more powerful than the sorcerer supreme. Hayward. He was an interesting character. Potentially relatable. Suddenly he literally dumped a magazine at KIDS. Noooope The Vision. Sooooo.... He returns and immediately leaves his wife in a desperate situation? Wtf????? He got all the wandavision memories. Come on now people. If there was one more episode, I'd be happy, but this is the finale. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

If there was one more episode, I'd be happy, but this is the finale. Regarding White Vision fucking off after regaining his memories, I was thinking that yes, he has his memories back but his programming is still telling him to kill Vision. He's a very advanced machine but still a machine. And we don't know what kind of changes SWORD made to him. All we know is that they programmed him to kill Vision. Now he knows he's the real Vision, is his directive now to kill himself? Perhaps him leaving the scene was a result of some sort of mental breakdown. Or a computer equivalent of a mental breakdown. Perhaps his programming also means he physically can't kill himself, similar to the Terminator in Terminator 2. He couldn't self-terminate. Does Vision have a similar restriction? How would that work if his orders are to essentially kill himself. I imagine we'll find out for sure in the future. As for Hayward, I always thought he was a prick but firing at kids is perhaps a step too far. But does he even see them as kids? He knows how they were created so probably doesn't see them as real kids. That seems like the kind of justification he would use.

The EndGame ended with Tony Stark's funeral after all those lost in the snap had already come back. Now that I've final gotten around to the 7th season of the agents of shiels there is a technological way to bringing Stark back. Or heck they still had his body. It was odd how at the end of EG they focused on Nick Fury walking up. He was responsible for Coulson's 1st resurrection. So who knows. I'm just flowing with another Dr. Strange movie since he's highly magic based. And now there's another powerful magical being in the genre. There really is so much to pull from. I've skimmed about Disney buying out Paramount which owned the XMen and there a nice tie in to the Scarlet Witch and Magneto in the comics. Again who knows since they aren't fully basing stoylines on any particular universe . Yet at the same time they stsy true to the gist of most if not all of them. I'm somewhat confused about Vision and white Vision but I'm ok with that it gives something more to reveal in the movies to come. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I got to looking last night and realized there are a handful of MCU movies I've not seen: Spider-man: Far From Home Captain Marvel Captain America: Winter Soldier Captain America: Civil War Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (PP) Eternals (PP) Spider-man: No Way Home (F) Doctor Strange in the Multivers of Madness (F) Thor: Love and Thunder (F) Black Panther II (ID) Captain Marvel 2 (Pre) Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (F) Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol 3 (ID) Fantastic Four (ID) Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Some of those upcoming movies sound really interesting. As a fan of Asian cinema, I'm particularly looking forward to Shang Chi. One of my favourite actors (Tony Leung) is making his Hollywood debut so I'm quite excited for that. Trivial, of the movies you haven't seen yet, Winter Soldier and Civil War are particular highlights. They're not typical superhero movies. Winter Soldier especially is very much like a modern version of a 70s political thriller. I'm also quite fond of Captain Marvel because it's my daughter's favourite superhero movie and I'm not ashamed to admit that I felt absolutely great about myself when, after I asked why she liked Captain Marvel, my daughter told me that she reminds her of me

When Even Peter appeared as Pietro/Quicksilver. I was like did they just Multiverse an X-Mex crossover!? I'm glad it wasn't. And I hope they dont introduce the X-Men through some Multiverse. Just recast and give them their own MCU movie Though I do love Hugh Jackman as Wolverine 👍 bring him back This popped up in my feed a few days ago. A leak that marvel is working on an X-Men movie titled The Mutants. https://thedisinsider.com...e-mutants/ Anywho fake Pietro was Ralph Bohner. Worst joke ever EmmaMcG said: People who died in the snap came back but people who died by other means did not. Loki is dead and not coming back In Endgame when they go back to the battle in N.Y? They changed the past, they slip up and Loki escapes with the Infinity Stone. Did that rewrite his future and he lives? And he has a new Disney÷ series coming soon. I kinda thought the show might explain what he's been up to, or maybe he really did die. Idk I will take my place, In the great below

That's the reason for the whole "Back to the Future is bullshit" joke. They explain that by changing the past they create a separate timeline but when they return to the present they return to their own timeline. So Loki is still dead. The Loki from the Loki show is not the Loki we saw in Thor 2 or Ragnarok, who had become kind of a good guy. That Loki is dead and will remain dead. Instead, the show will follow the Loki from the alternate timeline. I'd be willing to bet that the show will find a way for him to cross over to the main timeline though.

There are no doubt some guys who wouldn't watch a female superhero movie no matter how good it was but I think the main reason that female superhero movies aren't as successful is that they're rarely as good as the male-led movies. How many good female superhero movies are there? The first Gal Gadot Wonder Woman movie and Captain Marvel. I can't think of any others. Helen Slater's Supergirl and Halle Berry's Catwoman are awful. And both deserved to flop. With those in mind it's not surprising that subconsciously, female superhero movies just don't resonate with people. Captain Marvel is a good start and hopefully Black Widow will continue the trend and eventually there'll be enough good female superhero movies that they will outweigh the bad and public opinion will change. There are quite a few female superheroes on the way too. Captain Marvel 2, Ironheart, Ms Marvel, even potentially Black Panther 2. Fingers crossed that Marvel bring back Jessica Jones.
