I thought you were a spammer with that thread title. Is that a new series or the old mini series??

Really? Chiiiile, it's new! They've been talkin' about it most of the year. CBS All Access has filmed a 9-part mini series. They were filming it last year I believe. Whoopi Goldberg plays Mother Abagail. For quite a few weeks or months on The View, she had white dreds in her hair. She said it took so long for them to put them in and take them out, she just left them in between filming, which obviously included appearances on The View. We knew filming as over, at least her parts, when she showed up with her natural color hair again.

James Marsden, Owen Teague, Amber Heard, Greg Kinnear, Alexander Skarsgärd, J. K. Simmons, Heather Graham, Natalie Martinez are some of the stars.

Stephen King's son Owen King co-wrote episode 3 and 4, and solo wrote episode 7. King wrote episode 9. Owen is also a producer.

Episode one is out on CBS All Access, with weekly installments through February 11. That includes shows on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve. They ain't stoppin' for shit!

Such a great show. My friend in FL said, "I don't care about chess, but here I am watching The Queen's Gambit." I scarffed down the whole series in about 3 days. It was really well done. I'd give it a 4/5.

I meant to add a .5 to that because it is very good and engaging I'm a bit disappointed it's not based on a true story. I wonder if 50s 60s styles are coming back, this is the second series ive seen recently that has some badazzed costuming from those periods. She was a badazzed chick though even with her issue.

I wasn't sure doesn't seem like the mini series was that long ago even though i knew it was. Anyways The Expanse is back which I love, got me trying to call myself singing norwegian which i have no ear for yet, and it's breaking up it's series up so you can't gobble it down, so it's priority to me right now. I watch each episode a few times over. Along with a few other shows.

Yeah, but Stephen King is a great story teller, and frankly if someone came to me and asked, "Hey, can we do your book, even though it's been done before? Here's a few million, and you can write an episode." I'd be like FUCK YES.

A Very English Scandal. 3.5/5. Dang Hugh Grant got old. Starring Golden Globe-nominated actor Hugh Grant and based on a true story, "A Very English Scandal" tells the story of Jeremy Thorpe, a member of Parliament who, in 1979, was tried and later acquitted of conspiring to murder his ex-lover, Norman Scott.

I never made it past the first episode. Just didn't stick with me like I thought it would.

It's played kind of tongue in cheek silly but I liked the ending.

Watching The Wild which started out very unique and engaging but by the the 6th episode started feeling Lifetimey dramatic. Started at 4/5 dropped to 3/5. I'm in now so gotta see what happens. A cross between Lord of the Flies, Survivor and The Dome.

The ending of season 2 is just amazing, unexpected, and great.

There is a great video I found about them using virtual backgrounds, rather than green screen, and the amazing technology that is changing the way things are filmed. It's fascinating.

I think just about everyone had a younger, hot teacher in high school, so it's an interesting "what if..." eek

How to ruin Christmas the Wedding 3.5/5 South African series Netflix. Very soap operay but funny and relateable.

Bridgerton 3.5/5 Netflix. A period piece that is quite altered. After getting over how it looks different, which took 1 episode, i found the storyline compelling though pretty standard.

Just finished it. Definitely an enjoyable series with a satisfying ending. I'd give it 3.5 of 4.

The Undoing - 4 out of 5 stars

Another wonderful showcase for Nicole Kidman. The real surprise is Hugh Grant, who is excellent inportraying a man who may or may not be a sociopath.
