Larry just died at 87. His interview with Prince is listed in the Top 10 "must see" ineterviews

I always enjoyed that interview myself

This thread will likely get moved, its in the wrong forum.

Larry was one of a kind. I really miss his nightly shows. Saw so many great and interesting interviews. From people I hated, to people I love, but everyone was a learning experience.

What did everybody think of that Prince interview? I recorded it on VHS way back and recall being really happy to see Prince speak for that long and answer questions. He seemed generally happy and upbeat. I thought Larry was out of his element during several parts of it but overall found it pretty entertaining.

And yeah, this is just a silly thing to say. I'm not going to dig through 50,000 interviews but this is absurd.

I think Prince may have felt calmer and more optimistic during this period. It was 3 years after the death of his son & subsequent split w/Mayte. Larry was providing the 'answers', he was in a new relationship w/Manuela who promised to accompany him on his JW quest & he was also performing w/Larry and Chaka (his heroes), etc.
