Of all my friends on Facebook, I find your Facebook presence and activities by far the most relaxed, most normal, most perfect and most unusual, if that makes sense. I always enjoy your beautiful pictures, the family activities, the family reunion pictures, the cultural and geographic lessons I get from the places you visit and photograph and talk about, or the food, or special places in NYC.

No arguments, no extremism, no badmouthing, no drama.

Perfect example of why I´m still on Facebook, even though I´m not as active as I used to be because the more friends I have there, the more I have to censor myself because there are more and more people that force me to "tame" myself, but that´s a whole different topic.

In a nutshell, I really like your Facebook presence.

You might need to give a class on how to have separate pages for separate projects. I've gotten the impression from several people it's one big stew.

It depends on what you do with and how you use it, and in my case this also depends on who I use it with. For example, it is much more convenient to check up on my relatives in different countries, see how they´re doing, see their pictures every now and then, or have a chat or videocall for free without having to use my phone.

It´s also a great tool to stay in touch with my American friends.

I have a bunch of Facebook friends who I barely see on FB, and that I don´t really feel like communicating with but they´re still on my friends list.....mostly former classmates from decades ago, or people I barely speak with.

Another thing I´ve noticed is that different people from different cultures and nations have a different way of using Facebook, and there are of course huge generational differences, too. Younger people barely use FB these days, whereas the socalled Boomer generation takes FB a bit too seriously. Some just use it as a stage to express their views and opinions, some use it as a way to escape their mediocre lives and feel more important than they actually are.

But, all in all, I´m glad I can still stay in touch with many people, especially many dear ex-orgers who don´t visit prince.org anymore but spend a lot of time on Facebook, and it means a lot to me to be able to reach out to them.

Maybe it's just my anti-social nature but the whole social media thing just isn't for me. I live in Ireland and I have a lot of friends who live abroad, mainly in the UK and America and my brother lives in France. But I've got WhatsApp which means I can make calls, video calls and send messages completely free. That's why Facebook has no appeal to me. In fact, I hate the idea of old school friends, colleagues etc contacting me. If I wanted to keep in touch, I'd have their number, you know? Or I'd give them mine. Like I said though, that's very much down to me being quite anti-social in general. I'm happy in my little social bubble.

Are there reputable Prince facebook groups? I would be interested but am afraid of getting w/folks who only stan and disallow conversation they deem 'negative'
