If you're scared of guns you live in fear over a tool l. Aee you afraid of hammers, screwdrivers, or pickles? wait, pickles are not tools weird. Anyway people live in fear of guns are just as bad as those who have too many guns whatever that means. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!" |

As a department store Santa, you don't deliberately do something that might make a kid cry. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's Item 1 in the job description.
This loser quit before he was fired and/or doxxed. I'm not sure why you're defending his shitty behavior.
I'm sure there was more involved then the kid cried and boom the guy quit. All kinds of precursors are being added after the fact. If the guy knew ahead of time and took some overexaggerated stand then fine. But how this was presented says the parent went ballistic to the corp office about it and then it blew up into a big deal. The point is I personally think it's sad because it's still over a known lie. I get it, nobody is supposed to impose their beliefs on other people. I see a catch 22 on the horizon.
You didn't watch the video, did you? That's exactly what he did.
Of course, the parents complained! Hell, if a store Santa used my kid to make a political point and made him or her cry in the process, I'd raise such a stink he'd be fired on the spot.
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |

you are actually making this waaaaay bigger than it was
you did read the article right? the guy felt bad(as he should) and quit. He'll get another seasonal job somewhere else. If your job (as Santa) is to make kids smile, laugh etc and that's it, this guy failed and did not do his job. It makes me wonder what else did he say to other kids. |

I think you tipped the pot when you blamed the 4 yr old boy and his mother
Nah just the parent. The parent made the choice that someone's job isn't as important as maintaining a lie. It's the world we live in. I think it's sad.
So then the 'job' should not even exist
The parent didn't get the man fired. BUT had every right, because his job was to make kids smile/laugh/feel good, not cry. That simple I can see you doing that lol making kids cry |

I still can't muster up an ounce of outrage about it. Seems silly. Time keeps on slipping into the future...
This moment is all there is... |
