This series was a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed both seasons. Although there are some of your standard high school types, the writing and the acting breath some life into the characters. It has both comedy, drama, and of course, sex.

Warrior (2019) Season 1, this show has lots of action, it thought provoking with an excellent cast and further proof that Bruce Lee still holds sway I give it a 4.5 out of 5

I started watching The Walking Dead again after a year long pause and have a lot of catching up to do because I missed out on season 10 and I´ve watched six episodes now.

I´d still consider myself a fan but those Whisperers are annoying as hell and I really can´t stand Alpha and Beta. They also don´t make a lot of sense to me because Rick and his people have dealt with far more dangerous villains and now these freaks are the superdangerous new villains? Come on. Just get rid of Alpha and Beta and the rest will give up anyway.

I miss Rick Grimes and I am getting a bit bored with those same old locations and lack of info of what´s going on outside of Alexandria, Hilltop and Oceanside, and of course the Kingdom. What about the rest of the USA? And what happened to Rick ?

They could´ve done a bit more with this show, and it´s no wonder that they are considering to end it soon.

Still a good TV series though.

Season 1 is a genre-bending must-watch that expertly melds horror and racial commentary. Great to see black characters in such roles.



Archer Season 11 (2020)

After several season of one-offs, one of my fave TV shows is back in the real world, with the lead character out of a years-long coma, and it's back in stride.

A prequel to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest (though I've not seen the film in decades) this had absolutely beautiful cinematography, superb casting and overall was an absolutely stellar piece of work.

We Are Who We Are (HBO) and one half out of 4 (so far).

This is currently unspooling at HBO, which has show 4 episodes so far. It is so different from everything else that i have seen, that I got impatient to wait till the series ended to rate it. I was curious if anyone else saw it, If you haven't and you like your cinema to have a more classic European/Italian feel to it, I would check this out. The first episode is a bit slow, but each episode so far gets progressively better.

• Indian Matchmaking-Highly recommend (Netflix)
• The Fall-detective "Gillian Anderson". Kind of dark but thrilling. Filmed in Belfast (Netflix)
• Cheer-Depicts the world of highly competetive cheerleading (very acrobatic/cutthroat)
• Intelligence-Canada's CIA. Really good. Rumors are it hit too close to home and was cancelled. New favorite actor: Ian Tracey (Netflix)

I recently binged Victorian Farm on Prime. It's about three historians who restore a centuries-old tenant farm in England, and live there and work the farm as people would have in the late 1800s. I was drawn to it because my ancestors were farmers in Wisconsin during the same time period.

I especially loved the parts where they were using a wheat bundling machine based on one invented by a Wisconsin farm worker - and one where they fixed a wheel using traditional wheelwright techniques. My great-great grandfather was granted an US patent for an improvement on a grain separator in 1872 - and was listed on census records from the mid-1800s as a wheelwright.

The whole series was pretty great - and definitely made me feel closer to "my people."

Breaking Bad I just finished this series this weekend, what a masterpiece of a show at every front, the ending was a little bit underwhelming though. But what a great experience the whole show is. 10/10

I don´t watch that show but when I first heard about it I immediately knew it would be your kind of TV show. I think I´ll watch a couple of episodes because of the Midwest references you mentioned, so thanks for sharing.

You also liked Downton Abbey a lot.

All my friends are raving about Raised by Wolves and Lovecraft Country.

Of all the shows mentioned in this thread, these two got me really curious.

Funny you should mention Downton Abbey. I just finished bingeing the UK version on Prime. I came up with two new drinking games: "I'd better get on." and "Poor Edith!"

I found the storyline more compelling than the characters in the first episodes, and vice versa in the final ones.
