Anything by Alfred Hitchcock. His movies always have a great twist that keeps you guessing throughout. You could go for a Bogart double. The Big Sleep and The Maltese Falcon are incredible movies and rank among my favourite movies of all time. If you want a bit of action to go with the mystery then you could do worse than The Bourne Identify. Two of my personal favourites to consider are the Michael Douglas movies The Game and Basic Instinct. Both great movies. Also, honourable mention for Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Even the title alone is a mystery. Who framed him? Why did they do it? Why does the question posed in the film's title not have a question mark??

Alternatively, you (and everyone here) should take 5 minutes out of your day and watch one of the funniest scenes in television history where 3 men try to come up with an idea for a mystery movie. It's a clip from classic British sitcom Only Fools And Horses. Enjoy https://m.youtube.com/wat...gE4idhyUC8

[Edited 10/8/20 7:30am] Citizen Kane is great but why would you consider it to be a mystery? Just wondering.

Seriously? Like they didn't spend the whole damn movie trying to figure out what "Rosebud" means? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

First movie I can think of is burning, a south Korean movie with steven yeun (glenn) from the walking dead. It's a bit of a slow burner, but the movie will leave you wondering what happened or if something even happened.
