Real Ghost Stories. Got Any?

OK, so October is the time for Ghost Stories and whatnot. it's been a little while since there's been a proper ghost thread. Over the years I've posted some things concerning the paranormal. One thing in particular was an experience my uncle had. A couple months ago(on Facebook) i was talking about this kind of weird experience i had, and as a result, my uncle re told an experience he had(the one i posted on here before). i was pretty much spot on with my telling of his story. There's a few things i didn't know though(and therefore left out). Anyways, his story is below. And in his own words. it's pretty quick but it's also pretty damn weird.

Oh, and he mentions another experience that he had(hit in the chest). i didn't know about that one, but guess what? At that house(trailer) he's talking about, my aunt(his sister) and her kids used to live there. And my cousin said that his bed would sometimes shake for no reason at all.

Also, on another website, there was this really good thread where people from law enforcement, hospital care teams etc, talked about some of their paranormal experiences while at work. i gotta find that thread and link it. it's a trip.

So here's my comment that lead up to the conversation: "Ghosts do exist. i caught one talking on tape(evp)".

My uncle's comments. i removed the names. Just left initials

"Yes they do. One night I was spending the night at E W's place in Mendota"

"We walked in and were going to call it a night and as soon as my head hit the Pillow something hit me so hard in my chest , I jumped up yelled out to E, told him what just happened. I left and walked down the street to your Moms house"

"Another time while I was living in Fresno I worked the night shift , on thanksgiving My Roommate had company over and they were playing a game , I left and returned in the morning, I was about to fall asleep and I see this Neon green shape of a kid / child moving back and forth in front of my bed. I thought that my Roommates were Fucking with me , so I said keep fucking with me and I’m going to kick you. My kick went Right through it. I jumped up and and Ran into the living Room where my Roommates were still up Drinking. They said what’s wrong I told them what just happened to me they look at each other and run into my Room. Later they told me that they were playing with a Ouija Board and a kid came through saying his favorite song was ABC by the Jackson’s and other shit".

"I moved out 2 weeks Later"

eek

And here was my reply.

"What's going on R? Yep, i remember you told me about that one. Man, that's some crazy stuff. i would have left too. Them Ouija's are bad news. i got this trippy story from when i lived in San Jose. i'll type it out later today".

My mom died when I was 7. When I was 8, my sister and I moved in with my aunt and uncle (my mom's sister and her husband). When I was around 10, I went into what we would call the "red room" (a formal living room with red carpet, curtains, and red velvet decorations on the end tables/coffee table). I saw my mom standing there, holding out her hand towards me. She looked exactly as I remembered her and was wearing the dress she was buried in. But it scared me and I ran out of the room, crying. My aunt asked me what was wrong and I told her that I'd seen my mom. I described what she was wearing, including a brooch she had on her dress. When I described the brooch, my aunt's face went white. She went into her room and came out, carrying something. It was the brooch I'd described. She said that it had been their mother's and my mom had wanted to be buried with it, but my aunt couldn't part with it, so she had put a different brooch on my mom's dress. She was crying when she told me and I remember her saying, "I should have buried it with her like she wanted."

I've got other stories, from other family members. My mom's oldest sister had studied witchcraft for a time. They had a Ouji board and some of the things they told me... wow.

I don't believe in any of that stuff. Gods, fairies, ghosts and the like. Knowing what we know now from a scientific point of view, it's just not possible for these things to exist.

Every fibre in me wants to agree with you Emma, but for one thing that happened when I was about 15 that I just can't explain. Me and my friend were at her mum's house sat on the sofa chatting. Everything was quiet, there was no-one else home, no television on, no radio on, just the two of us. Then from about 10-12 ft away a small brass bell launched itself off the top of their telly, flew right across the room, and landed at our feet. We screamed and ran outside, where we stayed until her parents got back (typical 15 year olds over-reacting). I simply have no explanation for how that could have happened, and I guess it's why I've never completely closed the door to the idea that there is much we have still to discover about the world and its forces.

If there were such thing as ghosts, why would they fuck with people like that? Your story is similar to a few others of perceived ghostly activity. But does anyone ever wonder why ghosts would actually do this kind of shit? If I were a ghost I can think of better things to do than that.

We can be pretty certain that no one has any REAL ghost stories. There might be some entertaining ones though.

I'm odd. I simply don't like the idea of them. I don't fully disbelieve but I really hope they don't exist. The concept is utterly depressing to me to where I'd rather remain ignorant to their existence. In other words i don't go looking for them one way or the other.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it was a ghost, but it just didn't make any logical or scientific sense. I think there are just some things we don't know about yet, so I don't write off the idea that things I currently think are impossible might one day be proven to be possible.

I believe in the supernatural, yes. You only have to think about the Universe to believe in it.

But I just think most paranormal stuff that "happened" to humans is just nonsense and a product of the imagination of the human mind (endless). In other, words, we don't know what/how the supernatural/paranormal actually is. There's an actual scientific link between "alucinations" ("ghosts", visions) and schizophrenia. Telekinesis doesn't exist. The famous "sixth sense" might be a mostly dormant/xtremely weak form of non-physical "communication" that many instects have mastered (with antennae).

So, anyone bother to check out the link i posted? eek About the nurses speaking of their paranormal experiences while at work. Common sense would dictate that if anyone was to experience paranormal phenomena it would be in a hospital setting, where people die every day.

Anyways, people can believe what they want. i just think it's short sighted to to say that ghosts, poltergeists and other paranormal phenomena doesn't, or can't possibly exist. There's just so much we don't know about our reality and spacetime etc.

As far as the what, how and why of ghost's and hauntings? I'm not sure. I don't know if they are the actual "spirits" of the departed or if it's an environmental thing. What i do know is that since recorded history people have been experiencing things that cannot be readily explained. How do you explain objects moving by themselves etc? It's really hard for me to believe that every "ghost" experience is ether fake or someone imagining shit. How can two or more people imagine the same phenomena?

So, for the naysayers. If you have the least bit of a open mind, then there's a lot of credible info out there as to the validity of peoples paranormal experiences. You just got to seek it out. if you're a person who doesn't care to believe or wonder, then that's cool too. Please though, refrain from making light(personal attack) of what people post on this thread, about their experiences...

Anyways, check out that link i posted. And Happy Hauntings angel evillol tombstone skull

El Cucuy is gonna get you...

Benni, thank you for your post. My mother died a little over 7 years ago and sometimes i wish i could have got some kind of sign that she somehow lived on.

in hindsight, are you glad that you had that experience?

As for what you said about your mom's sister and Ouija boards, wow. My mom's oldest sister(less than 2 years older than my mom, my grandmother had like 9 kids, basically one after another eek ) had a real negative experence with a Ouija board.

Not much of a story

I was at work. There were only 3 of us in the building.
The Boss about 17 feet away, standing under a doorway (behind is a walk way)
Anywho.. he says it's just you 2, I'm out of here.
I looking directly at him as he walks away (in my prafriffial vision) I swear i seen something transparent walk behind him in the storage room
In my head I was like did I just see something? Or just my imagination? I thought of it as nothing...
10 minutes later it's just 2 of us there.
My coworker jumps and was like "WTF!" "Did you see that!?"
He's Iike I just saw a shadow move in the dry room.
I was like no. Then proceed to tell him what I thought I saw

The next day I ask a few girls you ever see a ghost in here. To my surprise shes like Yes. I was like what did you see. Shes like, sometimes I see something walk by in prafriffial vision. In the same area I thought I seen something! . The walkway is only 10 feet long and leads to the freezer.

Another girl says she saw someone run by in the bathroom hallway

So I'm telling another coworker the story of our experience. He says he saw a face looking in the kitchen door window. When he was alone. He never told anyone because he thought people would think he is crazy. Apparently he didnt like being alone there

One day it was like 930am. I'm cleaning up the dining room.
I hear the doors rattle like someone is trying to get in. I walk like 5 feet, look directly at the front door, no one is there. All the years I worked there I've never heard it rattle like that, unless someone is at the door. I know when someone opens the back door there is a suction sound, that's normal.

Maybe it was all the kitchen gasses or carbon monoxide messing with our heads lol

At work again. It's like 9:30am.
The Boss says can you make sure the restrooms have TP.
I walk in the restroom, I check 4 stalls.
I walk out the restroom, go get the TP, come back to the womans room.
I fill them all, i walk out the stall, Now I'm standing in front of the mirrors.
I turn around, and directly behind me at head level is a floating balloon. Literally 2 feet from my face.
I didn't see or notice it the first time, didnt see it the 2nd time.
I know it didnt just appear out of no where.
It had to float down, but the thing is the celling is not very high, how did not see it?

Btw the balloon was from a party the night before

Ghost? Probably not, but it was very strange

I saw a ghost when I was 4 or 5. In the house me, my mother and brother lived at in the early 1980's, Brooklyn.

Kids are extemely psychic and so are animals!

Sylvia Browne(Libra/cusp of Scorpio Sun Sign) wrote several books on the topic of Spirits and Ghosts.

Children tend to stop using their psychic abilities when they start attending school. Often parents tell their kids that they are just having an "imagination". Also, when a dog or cat starts acting erratic, barking for no reason, a negative spirit is around the dog, cat, etc.

Spirits: A person's eternal, personality being. Spirits live on the other side/heaven. They visit family, friends on earth. People often see relatives, friends in dreams through astral travel(our spirits travel when we sleep!).

Ghosts: They do not know they are dead. They turn away from the tunnel that will take them home/the other side. So they remain earthbound. That is why a priest or spiritualist is needed to say prayers in places were ghosts have been seen, etc.

The ghost I saw when I was a kid was in front of one of the bedroom windows of the house. I was in the bedroom at the time. The ghost looked like a statue, there was a perfume scent in the room. When I told my mother(who has Sylvia Browne's birthday and a few years younger)told me to say some prayers(Catholic). When I went back to the room, I did not see the ghost, it left.

Nah. Totally selfish motivation I'm worried about me. To think after I'm released from this mortal coil I'd be even further limited in movement given the entire universe. I don't care the reason, I just don't like that as a possibility. Forever tethered to one spot.

I don’t really believe in ghosts though I remember seeing a cat under the bed when I was 4 and no one believed me

Anyways, my grandparents appear in my dreams sometimes and they are alive and well in them as though nothing happened. I find some comfort with that

Did anyone ever visit a haunted house? I heard about some people who visit/ are curious about famous places, sites( all over the world and in America) where ghosts haunt a place/environment. 🌙☀👻👻👽

I can tell a bunch I've been told by others. Are they real? I don't know, there's probably good explanations for most of them. But my brother swears that he saw red eyes looking at him in the forest behind our apartment complex. He never got to meet his turkish grandpa, but one time when he was doing homework, he heard a male voice calling out his name. He turned around and saw a figure moving away, when he described it to his father, he told my brother that it was his grandpa.

The son of my mother's boyfriend has a really scary story. He claims that he saw a huge man, in a black Trenchcoat and a black hat standing in his room, watching him. He also once claimed he saw it in our room too (so he said it followed him). I'd probably say that this might have been a sleeping paralysis, I've had two so far and they're the creepiest shit ever. You see things and feel like they're real, but they're not. Think of it as a nightmare in VR.

I have a last one from my cousin. He believes in ghosts and he said he was driving with his ex girlfriend when he saw this ghostly figure in the sky moving with them. He tried to act like he didn't notice it but then his ex girlfriend asked: did you see that? And he goes: what? And she said: don't act stupid, you noticed it too.

Now this story is tricky because it's two people reporting the same sighting. And his ex doesn't even believe in ghosts.

I've also read some stories of people seeing a loved one in front of them and then getting a call that they've died. Like a dude said he was with his aunt when he saw his mom outside waiting next to her car for him to come out and right before he did, there was a call and he got informed that his mom died in a car crash. Could easily been made up though. People can write everything on the internet.

Honestly, I don't really believe in ghosts and I'd have to experience a really good scenario to believe that they exist. Nothing that could be easily explained or something.

I have never seen any ghosts but have felt movement of supposedly a ghost.
After my grandfather passed away, nobody lives there since.20 years later if you go in his house sometimes you can still smell the scent of his cigars he use to smoke. He smoked daily and i would think the smell would be gone by now..
I do believe in the supernatural,Emma made a good point about why would a ghost duck with someone like that. But I wanna believe also that some ghosts are kinda looking after us.Also, ghosts and ghosts movies have never scared me because I know they can't hurt you.
This thread makes me want to listen to the prince song
"Theres others here with us"...i think I'll go do that.
