best option to replace my soon-to-be-obsolete google music playlists ? ?

hey y'all,

.

I've been using google music play (or google play music?) for the last several years. as (at least some of) you know, google play music will be gone by some time in December.. so now I'm contemplating my options to keep/retrieve re-do my google playlists on a another dependable & easy-to-use platform.

.

I have a spotify account.. but as I am learning about it.. it seems like I can't upload my own music to make all the (very good google play) playlists I already have. do I understand correctly that unless I "upgrade" (?) my spoitfy, I can't upload my own mp3 files to make my playlists the way I want ? ?

.

another option I'm considering is MEDIA MONKEY. I like how, with their playlists, the songs all "fade" from 1 into another. I know with MM, 1 can pay for a "deluxe" version - I believe it's a 1-time charge with a code to unlock this elevated version. I would seriously consider doing all my music in MM, but I don't know if I get the "deluxe" version - can I keep & access the same song library & playlists from any computer ? ? in the past, I've had A LOT of music in MM, but when I buy a new laptop (or access any other computer) I can't access or use the playlists I've already set up.

.

lastly - I would LOVE to be able to pull all the songs I have in google play music from that platform.. & add them to an SSD external hard drive. the last ext hard drive I have, it hit the floor & ALL my music & photos & documents - SEVERAL THOUSAND OF EACH - I am saving money now to (ideally next year) recover all those precious/valuable files..

is there any way to export my mp3s from my google play music to my laptop or ext hard drive ? ?

.

I really appreciate any feedback here. this is as close to "desparate" as I've been to anything. in a good while.. thanks..

I'll see you tonight..

Whatever you decide hurry up. I lost all kinds of stuff from google+ goofing around. This is what I don't appreciate about streaming, it's only good as long as the company stands. Just follow googles instructions in the mean time.
