I can't believe no one's posted this yet most everyone has probably heard the news.

John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigan have lost their baby, which would've been their third child (is their child).

Teigan posted last night on her Instagram that "We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before..."

She later tweeted, "Driving home from the hospital with no baby. How can this be real."

I think there's a conversation that America isn't having about health care for BIPOC women. While Teigan and Legend have great healthcare, most average BIPOC women either don't have access to the same health care others do, are denied it, or ignored. Things like pre-natal vitamins, checkups, etc., are minimized for marginalized communities. When Serena Williams was pregnant, she had to demand certain things be done, because even someone like her - who has wealthy, celebrity and influence - had her requests ignored or not taken seriously.

I'm not saying Teigan faced any of these obstacles. What I am saying is that there is a much larger epidemic of letting BIPOC women suffer miscarriages because of lack of basic health care.
