Shadow of the Vampire (2000) - The filming of Nosferatu (1922) is hampered by the fact that its star Max Schreck is taking the role of a vampire far more seriously than seems humanly possible. I hadn't watched this in several years and forgot it's one of those films where non-English-speaking characters are talking to each other in perfect English. Aside from that personal peeve, it's easily one of the better vampire films I've ever seen. 4.5/5

Great film, although I thought before watching it, that it was a whole different thing. [Edited 10/14/20 19:37pm]

Black Box. 3/5 even though it was like Lifetimey super suspense, it held my attention and it took a minute to guess the mystery before the reveal. Phylicia Rashad out here being all unethical and stuff, clutch my pearls. Particle Fever 4.5/5 really a documentary that'll I'll watch a few more time even after watching it twice. a 2013 American documentary film tracking the first round of experiments at the Large Hadron Collider near Geneva, Switzerland. The film follows the experimental physicists at CERN who run the experiments, as well as the theoretical physicists who attempt to provide a conceptual framework for the LHC's results. The film begins in 2008 with the first firing of the LHC and concludes in 2012 with the successful identification of the Higgs boson.[3] Time keeps on slipping into the future...

He plays better guitar than me, thus, he is a good musician! Learning to play/remember all the chords is not easy! He is also a superb filmaker!
Some of my favorites: "The Water Boy", "Happy Gilmore", "Billy Madison", "Big Daddy", "The Wedding Singer". [Edited 10/16/20 13:40pm]

Selma (2014) - A chronicle of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s campaign to secure equal voting rights via an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, in 1965. This is an outstanding snapshot of the life of Dr. King documenting an event that is sadly still relevant today. 4.5/5

I understand this movie is part of a franchise, I haven't seen the others... I can't say if I watch they others my overall thoughts would change. Be that as it may hears my review. It was a good action pack flick that kept me on the edge of my bed. I say this even though the action was predicable - how and the hell people can beat the crap out of each other and move around - the story-line was interesting enough to want to flow it to its conclusion. The "heroine" of the movie was some type of Black Knight figure recusing women from abusive relations by night and computer hacker by day. The beginning of the film explains why and some other things. The main premise is, Lisbeth Salander (actress Claire Foy) is asked to steal a computer program back... giving the US the power to activate or nullify anybody else nuclear arsenal. On second thought the creator of the programmer decides the program is too harmful for anyone to have it and hires Salander to retrieve it. The action begins and I found myself saying, WTH, when impossible situations were escaped and difficult plans of action were successful. Action pack through out rather enjoyed it.

Love on the Run (1936)Oh, man. Where do I even start with this? Terrible movie with Clark Gable and Joan Crawford in the leads, obviously made by MGM to hop on the success of It Happened One Night (1934 Best Picture winner from Columbia Pictures, also starring Clark Gable, directed by Frank Capra). Only in this story, instead of one reporter, there are two (Gable and Franchot Tone) battling over the story of a runaway bride (Crawford). What it lacks in story, it makes up for in screaming. Yuck. We donโt mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Sleepy Hollow (1999) - Ichabod Crane is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of three people, with the culprit being the legendary apparition, The Headless Horseman. There was a time when Tim Burton would almost always deliver enjoyable films with a balance of macabre fun and heart and Sleepy Hollow is one of those winners. 4/5

I get it. I wasn't either for a long while. Anyway. Emma (2020) 3/5. I like the one with Gwyneth better and I'm not a fan. I didn't like how George chastised her so out in the open that irked me. And I liked the subtlety of their friendship in the older one Time keeps on slipping into the future...
