basically the danger lies with the fact that drugs don't affect everyone the same... eg. some ppl can have one acid trip and never be the same... and pot can bring on psychitophrenia (sp?) ... i was VERY lucky... other people i know weren't so lucky

coke, herb, acid, meth, e, numerous pills...pretty much everything but crack and heroin...unless you count the fact that heroin is in a lot of e pills. never really had a problem with any of them...but meth was tricky...anyway, that was in my late teens until about 21. now i'm just bored with drugs.

Since nicotine is a drug: I tried a cigerette when I was a kid, still in elementary school. Hated it. I don't know when I developed an allergy to it, but I did. And I think that's a good thing. Not because I want it (I don't), but because I don't want to inhale the secondhand smoke.

I still like certain forms of alcohol: beer, wine, margarita (as far as I remember), but never indulge anymore. Basically I was a lightweight when I was pulling any weight. Every Thanksgiving/Christmas time my mother has a turkey smoked and the marinade contains beer. It's DAYUUUMMM GOOD!

Marijuana: I tried it twice just because I was curious. First time (during sex) had zero effect; second time (while renovating my house) made me dizzy. I hated it. (Although the Doritos tasted great.) I've had no interest beyond those two incidents. I respect marijuana's medicinal qualities and whatever spiritual gifts it offers those of certain faiths, but I frown upon its casual abuse, and I certainly have no need for it.

Amyl Nitrite (poppers): I used to play with these often during sexual encounters. A whiff of a small bottle gives you a 45-second buzz. They made the encounters a bit more "charged," but it's a cheap, stupid thrill that kills brain cells and often gives you a headache. Plus, I think if you need drugs to enjoy sex, you aren't doing it right. I have no interest in them anymore.

Alcohol: I only drink it for the novelty of a given beverage with dinner. Never been drunk, and I have no fascination with ever getting drunk.

I've had small quantities of alchohol and rx narcotics. Alchohol doesn't interest me except as a path to wine snobbery, and rx narcotics are really great for relieving pain.
