Kazaa regular has spyware worm included so you end up being observed and your info shared to advertisers etc.

Kazaa-Lite is free of all this and much better than WinMX so just download KL instead.

Kazaa lite http://www.kazaalite.com is (supposedly) spyware free...but I cant vouch 4 that. Its what i use tho.

it's true. they did prosecute a guy who used kazaa. but he was a heavy user, downloading hundreds of songs a day and sharing them with other users.

They won't got for the "small fish".

I don't think it has to do with spyware. just the IP is enough for that, and even Kazaa lite, will give them your IP.

they followed the IP and asked the ISP to give them the user's details.

they say that for every song that you download,

that is one more liscence plate that you will have to make

K lite also has spywear in one of its DLL files, if you try and delete it the whole programme shuts down. Winmx is the same.
There are other ways to find and download music free, but you have to find out. Strat on google, in 5 minutes you should have all the info you need.

You should absolutely continue using it. What in the world is the RIAA gonna do if we ignore them and continue trading? It would be completely impractical to try and sue everyone using it simultaneously. And if they ever did, and successfully won, noone will be able to buy their damn CDs anyhow because we would all be bankrupt or in jail from the legal fees. They would be shooting themselves in the foot. All they can really do now is make a spectacle of individuals from time to time, and resort to scare tactics.

Fuck the RIAA. They "legally" steal millions of dollars from their artists year after year, then turn around and complain about people stealing from them. It's bullshit.
