Season 3 = of 4.
I saw Season 1 and liked it, but never got around to season 2. I was curious to see Season 3 due to Olivia Coleman joining the cast as the queen. Yes, she is really good, but what I really loved about season 3 is there is also a focus on the other characters. It showed a great deal of psychological depth I didn't expect. I never have been interested in royalty, but thiis has triggered one. I will go back and see Season 2 now. [Edited 5/28/20 20:43pm] |

A friend verified by HBO GO app. I decided since I'd never seen it, I'd watch Six Feet Under. It was such a ride over two weeks of watching. The whole family are self-absorbed whiners, equally complex and basic AF. I give the show credit, though. In 2001, it pushed a lot of boundaries in TV show writing, cinematography, sexuality and gender, relationships, etc. It gets an A+ from me.
I forget if I've watched HUNG. I think we started it once, but never followed through, so I'll watch that next maybe. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

Empire (2020) Season 6 felt so unresolved......because to the production was shutdown, due to COVID-19 outbreak. I give the final season a 3.5 out of 5 and fingers crossed that they could tie up all the loose ends, maybe in a telemovie?

Yes, Six Feet Under was ahead of it's time. It was a Netflix like series may years before Netflix. It also fairly accurately portrayed a person with Borderline Personality Disorder when few people had ever heard of it. The acting was good, the story line was over the top but compelling. |

Insecure 4/5 loving the season. I still want more Nathan but i know Lawrence is the one.
Betty 3/5 never saw the movie but Im curious where it's going, bad acting and all.
Finished, Run. 3.5/5 got a little confused it had some weird twist but the finale made me need a conclusion, that may be it though. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Harlots - Season 3
If this is how the series ends then it was a lot of fun--and remarkable how the finale was able to wrap up what seemed like a hundred different subplots so neatly. 4/5

I used to watch Awkward Black Girl on YouTube, that Insecure is based on. I watched the first couple of episodes but lost interest. I guess I felt like I'd already seen it or something. But it gets great reviews.
I just started Hung on HBO GO. I don't remember if I've seen the whole thing or not. I feel like I started it, but maybe never finished it. So I'm starting from the beginning.

I used to watch ABG too, the show has matured passed those days, showing her transitioning into a different phase of her life. Definitely the style has changed. Gone back to rewatching SG-1, more my pace right now. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

FInally finished this mini series. Story was intriguing and they threw in a little twist at the end but overall this could have been done in 2-3 partx, not 6. Chris Evans, Michelle Dockery, Jaeden Martel, and JK Simmons were all very good. It could have been trimmed. Not bad, not great. 3/5

I totally forgot I was watching Penny Dreadful: City of Angels. I suppose I should get back to that.
Since The Masked Singer ended, I've not had a lot to watch. But my one reality splurge is Below Deck Mediterranean. Don't know how I got on that but it's interesting to watch. Hot dudes (and got gals if you swing that way) taking care of other hot dudes and hot gals. haha Captain Sandy don't take no mess.
Greenleaf's final season is coming up June 23, so I'll be all over that.
Also, RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars 5 is on and I'm loving it.
We also just finished We're Here on HBO. Really nice series, and it's been renewed for season 2.
I've given thought to going back to Shameless. I stopped when Emma and that other dude left the show. Felt like a good time to jump ship. But then the ginger came back and now it's approaching its final season. So maybe this is a good excuse to catch up with that one misses season and ride it out until the end. I invested so many years into it already. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

Vida - Season 3 This show was too good to end after three seasons. And there was so much more story to tell too. I will miss this fascinating cast of Latinx LGBTQ characters. 4/5 |

I'm using a friend's Hulu and it has Starz and Showtime. I just came across this recently, so I added it to my list.

A Mark Ruffalo tour de force performance. He filmed each role separately - gained something like 40-50 lbs to play his schizophrenic twin brother. Seamlessly CGI stitched together and nice casting of the brothers as children and young adults. Marvelous acting turns by Kathryn Hahn and Rosie O'Donnell and Bruce Greenwood. 6th and final episode forthcoming but I already give this series (parts 1-5) 4.5/5 1/2
****UPDATE****
I stand by my assesment of Mark Ruffalo's performance but the mini lost steam in the final two episdes and wraps up in a neatly tied bow. The final plot twists were anti-climatic
final rating 1/2 out of 5

I wish i could say this was a guilty pleasure but it wasn't that pleasurable. The story lines were mostly boring and predicable. The only thing noteworthy was how integrated Blacks were in this deep south small town with plenty of inter-racial relationships and Blacks holding prominent positions in the community. Also, the buff coach is best friends with an out gay man. While this is all nice to see, it doesn't make the show seem any more real than their trite story lines. [Edited 6/10/20 21:06pm] |

'Followers', a Japanese series on Netflix. I give it 8/10. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of interesting characters with intertwining storylines and good dynamics between the members of two sets of friends (one older, one younger). Got a thing for Miki Nakatani again, too. Just a well done little series all around. Oh, and good soundtrack (including Shiina Ringo). MY COUSIN WORKS IN A PHARMACY AND SHE SAID THEY ENEMA'D PRANCE INTO OBLIVION WITH FENTONILS!! |

That Girl - Season 2 Comfort TV, plain and simple. I also really like the premise of a young single woman navigating New York City in the late 60s. A season consisting of 30 episodes sounds exhausting now. 3.5/5

Schitt'$ Creek - Sixth and final season.
I really can't believe the slow but real impact this show has had on me. I saw the first 5 seasons earlier this year on Netflix but couldn't wait for the 6th sesaon, so I found it free on POP tv. I don't like most sitcoms, and have never been a fan of traditional network series of the past in which every episode had some type of happy ending. Nevertheless, this is the first 21st century series that I have seen that I have laughed so much and felt so warm about the characters. The glut of dark tv shows (and I like some of them) and horrible news makes a show that subtlety but deeply makes you feel good about people again while laughing your ass off is quite an amazing accomplishment. Sad to see it end.

Very violent, too many threads to the story too, but overall it was okay. The choreography for the fight scenes were good - reminded me of Kill Bill.

Colin Robinson's energy vampire segments feel a little disjointed at times from the rest of the show, but it's still hilarious overall. 4/5

I liked the movie a little more, but I totally recommend the TV series as well. There are some surprising guest stars--like the introduction of the vampire council in season one. Awesome.
