No, it was great. Everyone else was trying to be supportive and encouraging and you were like His Time Is Up. And I felt understood.
The org was an important place sometimes, before the spies got in.
Like the KGB or some other kind of spy?
Spies from my real world life intruding into my org life. Not pretty. |

For sure. I don't recall threads not being active for almost two weeks being visible on the first page of the General Discussion forum before. This place used to be such a party with all the jokes, photowhoring and hookups. Then the old regulars all migrated to Facebook.

oh no!!! I might have met him at a party at superspaceboy's house. Otherwise, I didn't hit up too many spots. Sorry to hear he's no longer dancing. |

Oh my god, no those threads would be pages down. I remember a lot of explicit sex talk. I wonder if people are more guarded now that everyone does social media. I certainly am.
Facebook is such an entirely different experience. I have a lot orger friends on there, but our interactions are shallow or non-existent, except for a couple folks. [Edited 5/29/20 4:01am] |

I haven't checked this site in 2 years and 5 months and I don't even have to CLICK into a thread to see all kinds of names that I recognize.
It was Little Richard who brought me back. Rest in Peace, Mr. King of Rock and Roll, the Emancipator of Soul, the Creator and the Originator.

I started in 2004 and remember all of you! GD was always lit up wiht fun and lively threads. I particpated in some T-Shirt chain letter thing and I got t-shirts from 2the9s and Starkitty and CarrieMPLS.
I stayed friends with lots of Orgers on FB and IG and of course developed real life friendships with lots of Orgers (LA and beyond). MusetoNoPharoh hosted some great LA Invasions back in the day
There have been private orger ex-pat groups formed and there are still a lot of little reunions in Minni now and again.

Yep. And me personally, i rarely post anything on Facebook(and the Facebook org page). I prefer THIS org, compared to the Facebook one. Also, I'm not feeling all the privacy issues and overall bullshit that goes on with Facebook. I don't trust it.
Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon. |

Good summary. I may have met you at an LA invasion. I joined in 2004 too, and the org was a wild place. I was so addicted to it, especially because I didn't like where I was living with a bunch of people. It was my escape. I've since been to invasions in LA, SF, Minneapolis, and NY (well I hung out with sexton there) and still have many friends from here. I didn't realize at the time the friendships would be so lasting. |

What I really dislike about it is that you don't have forums separated by topics, and I can't get away from the news. It's hard/impossible to weed out what you don't want to see. And people just make perfunctory comments. We would go DEEP on the org, on one discussion, for DAYS. It was intense. |
