MLB or NO MLB ?

WHAT is going on? How can other professional sports organizations get it together not the MLB? Is the MLB Owner's greed rearing its ugly head and denying America its favorite passtime?

"The owners are 100 percent committed to getting baseball back on the field," Manfred said. "Unfortunately, I can't tell you that I'm 100 percent certain that's gonna happen."

MLBPA executive director Tony Clark issued a statement on Monday in response to Manfred's comments that read, "Players are disgusted that after Rob Manfred unequivocally told Players and fans that there would '100%' be a 2020 season, he has decided to go back on his word and is now threatening to cancel the entire season. Any implication that the Players Association has somehow delayed progress on health and safety protocols is completely false, as Rob has recently acknowledged the parties are 'very, very close.'

"This latest threat is just one more indication that Major League Baseball has been negotiating in bad faith since the beginning. This has always been about extracting additional pay cuts from Players and this is just another day and another bad faith tactic in their ongoing campaign."

Is June 15, so how do you delay another 13 days? 1f914.png1f914.png1f914.png guess we all got that answer today. Threaten to cancel the season. Threaten arbitration. Threaten grievances. All the while, hold the fans for ransom. Hold the future of the game for ransom. No one believes your bluff, bud.

You’re holding a losing hand. Unfortunately, it’s a losing hand for everyone involved, not just you. There’s some saying out there about not killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. Check it out on the ole google machine. It’s worth knowing.

They will lose a lot of fans if there is no season in some form this year--just like in 1994.

I'd just call off the entire season.

I don't know why these players think they should get their full salary for not even playing a game this season yet.

Lot's of normal people have lost their jobs and are in the unemployment line. Let them stand in the line too.

The owners will be making a SHIT TON of $$ since all games will be televised and will draw enormous audiences. The NBA worked it out. I think the NFL worked it out... why is MLB so different?

What games? I doubt they'll come to an agreement for this season anyway.

Look at the numbers from this article...this isn't on the players, the owners are trying to pull a fast one.

That's how I understood it. If they do not come to the table then everybody loses.

This report says SIX, maybe EIGHT owners don't even want to play the season.

I never thought I'd see a sports commissioner worse than Roger Goodell, but Manfred takes the cake.

Where's the leadership?

Clearly in his bank account. He's a disgrace.
