Teaching my daughter to play piano.
Looking after my 4 month old son.
Lots and LOTS of Disney+.
Animal Crossing.

It goes without saying that I wish this whole situation never happened and I hope it ends as soon as possible. But having said that, I don't mind isolation. It's honestly no issue for me. All I need is my husband and my children (and Disney+) and I'm happy.

Working 8hrs/5days. Have an elderly relative in their own home that needs assistance. Handling repairs (and calls) that are cheaper to get done during the week as opposed the weekends. Surprised the time goes really fast because of that.

And I'm learning about falconry.

Been hustling by helping a local business with graphic design, photography and social media.

Exercising, music, reading, learning, re-focusing the goals and re-watching The Wire (not necessarily in that order)

Building a routine really helped me. I take a shower as soon as I get up in the morning and dress up for the day smile Aside from that, I'm also doing:

Catching up with friends virtually. (I finally started writing letters too)

Walking/running every day. Training for a 10k run!

Cooking/baking

Audible reads

"The Wire" - watching it for the first time, I'm hooked!

Take a chance, it could only make you stronger.

So you take a shower first and then later in the day you make some exercise and then what, do you take another shower?

The Wire is a work of pure genius. As close to perfect as storytelling can get. Depressingly realistic though.

Got called back to work 2 weeks ago so not killing time at all.
I work in Pennsylvania at a Fine Wines & Good Spirits store(which are state run) so we run around all day filling online orders & doing curbside service. People need their booze - which is understandable these days.

The first two fellas on the left got me back into Dr. Who with some exciting episodes... I was a Dr Who fan way back when I was a kid starting with Tom Baker.

I am box gardening, menu planning, taking isolated walks in the woods near my place, listening to a lot of music, LOVING everyone uploading living room concerts onto YouTube, binging on reality tv shows I never thought of watching before (I'm waaay invested into Honey Boo Boo right now), sewing masks to coordinate with my grocery shopping outfits, streaming This Is Us, and rubbing my husband's feet lol

I've only seen the 2000's Doctor Who, though I'm planning on watching the original run eventually

After I deep cleaned my bedroom, I'm now making a pillow.

last year I ordered swatches from Joybird - a custom furniture place online. They sent me 64 swatches, 3" squares. I realized - this is a pillow waiting to happen. So, fast forward months later, and we're all at home, and I'm about 1/3 of the way done with it. One side is almost done, then I start on the second. THen find some batting or stuffing for it.

Some of the swatches are this thick velvety felt sorta thing. I'm ditching those, so I think each side is going to be 25 squares, so 50 in total. I have 6 velvet ones and plan to make a cube and stuff it, and use it as a pin cushion. I may get some cute metal buttons to put on either side, too. The fabric swatches are really nice upholstry type fabric. Different textures and colors. The Prince channel is my company while I had stitch this thing.

I also started a new book, having finally finished Insomnia by Stephen King. I'm reading Min Jin Lee's Pachinko.

Maybe I should start a book club thread. That'll kill like what.... 2 minutes? lol lol

Working from home, probably busier than I am in the office. But it’s a shorter commute, I don’t have to wear a shirt and tie and I can have a beer at lunchtime.

Not doing much, I quit my job cause a client died of covid and another two people were also tested positive. Felt it was too risky to continue. I spend a lot of time online and talking and texting with friends

I work more hours a day now so that I don't have to be in the office so many days. This leaves me more time to sell more of my thrift finds smile

Ugh, it's so cold and rainy I can't even get out for a decent hike today. At least when the sun comes out you can muck around with gardening. Looks like this is going to be a day of simmering chili, hopscotching between books, and 70's tv dramas.

I'm living single and working remotely. Obviously there's plenty of time for self in these days, but oddly I feel like I could use even more time to work on essential and pet projects. Netflix and YouTube streaming are my major entertainment conduits and I stay tuned into community radio. Importantly, I'll go out walking when I feel and can work it into the mix. I guess I could say I'm working on self-organization in a very slow-motion way, LOL! Also to work out what I would like my new normal to be like. This situation is providing an opportunity to rearrange "the life." For now I skirt the line between ritual and the complete opposite in my routine--being single allows it and thus keeps my wheels spinning without simply ticking days off the calendar. Otherwise, I'm wishing I could say I'm being as constructive as others are on this thread with all the deep-cleaning, gardening and such!
