Wow, didn't see that coming. Really thought he'd have one or two more seasons with the Pats. He still looked in good form last year.

And this means he won't have a farewell game at Gillette, which seems very wrong.

What do you think this part of the article means?

Tom E. Curran of NBC Sports Boston reported there was "no negotiation" between Brady and the Patriots, "just the intimation that it was on Brady to say what he wanted. For Brady, that stance spoke volumes."

The Pats made the decision for him....they weren't budging from their number, and that was it. Strictly business.

WTF is Bill O'Brien doing in Houston???? How does he think his QB feels without his main weapon? Unreal. I talked to RodeoSchro about this on Facebook, and he's not a happy man, lol.

Looks like Cam is out in Carolina...they're allowing him to seek a trade.

Bill O'Brien has to be the biggest shit truck in the NFL. Why does he even have a job after the

playoff debacle vs KC? O'Brien and the Buffalo Bills have lost their damn minds. Bill has basically said goodbye to the best WR in 2019 to obtain the best rb from 2016 who is now oft injured. GTFOH.

This guy is a total fucking clown. Good luck to Buffalo. I know they wanted a number 1 receiver and

Stefon Diggs is good but he isn't 5 damn draft picks good. That's what Bill O'Brien stupid ass should have gotten for DeAndre Hopkins. Not to mention Stefon's occasional flakiness. Good luck Buffalo.

Derek Watt joins brother TJ Watt with Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers turned the opening day of free agency into a family reunion for the Watt family.

The team agreed to terms fullback Derek Watt on a three-year contract worth $9.75 million, luring him from the Los Angeles Chargers to Pittsburgh to join All-Pro younger brother T.J. Watt, who recorded 14 1/2 sacks from his spot at outside linebacker in 2019.

“'Come to Pittsburgh'. IT WORKED!!! Welcome to #SteelerNation,” T.J. Watt posted on Instagram along with a picture of the two brothers talking on the field while Watt was still with the Chargers Derek Watt, 27, spent four seasons with the Chargers, primarily as a special teams ace. He has 29 career touches for 201 yards and a touchdown as well as 35 tackles.

“An iconic franchise, a legendary city AND the chance to play on the same team as my brother,” Derek Watt tweeted. “Could not possibly be more excited for what’s ahead! Pittsburgh, I promise to give you everything I have to make you proud. Watt's signing paved the way for the Steelers to release veteran fullback Roosevelt Nix. Nix was a Pro Bowler in 2017 while opening holes for Le'Veon Bell but battled injuries last season, appearing in just three games. Watt's arrival will also blunt the loss of inside linebacker Tyler Matakevich, a special teams captain who signed with Buffalo.

The Steelers also tendered contract offers to restricted free agents Matt Feiler and Mike Hilton. Feiler has started 26 games over the last two seasons and spent 2019 at right tackle for Pittsburgh in 2019. He could switch to left guard in 2020 following Ramon Foster's retirement and B.J. Finney's move to Seattle in free agency.

The team could possibly fill the right tackle position on the free agent market or give Chuks Okorafor or Zach Banner a look. Banner signed a one-year contract for 2020. He played primarily as a third offensive tackle in jumbo sets in 2019.

Hilton has become one of the NFL's better slot cornerbacks since breaking into the rotation in 2017. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Hilton is also a disruptive pass rusher. Hilton has four interceptions and 6 1/2 sacks in 47 career games, 14 as a starter.

The Steelers also signed long snapper Kameron Canaday to a two-year deal. Canaday was a restricted free agent.

shake

Way too injury prone and maybe too expensive for the Steelers.
Not worth the risk imo. Prefer drafting a rb. Some good ones coming out.
I like the Winewski signing. He immediately upgrades the Steelers offensive line.

I think it's a good signing. The Steelers ground game seemed to thrive with
Nix as the lead blocker the few games he played but he spent more time in the tub than on the club. From what I've seen he plays special teams well and hopefully he's a good lead blocker. He's better than Nix catching passes out of the backfield and has a high motor and loves playing the game like me his brothers JJ and TJ. They signed TE Eric Ebron and traded for the Ravens DE Chris Wormley today.

Tampa Bay preferred that "115 year QB statue" over Jameis Winston. If that's not a wake-up for Jameis to get his game together, he'll be in the XFL soon.

Winston had eye surgery. Apparently, he was legally blind last season.

It's good in that he knows the system, he's got a good history with Bill, and he can help bridge the gap between Tom and the next true #1 Pats QB.

Terrible pick from the get go. It was a panic pick by the Steelers after the Bengals took their

guy(William Jackson) one pick ahead. What the hell did the Steelers see in this guy? He was a part of that Miami Hurricanes team that got scorched at home by Clemson 58-0 in 2015. He got dragged that day.

In other news. It's reported that Cam Newton will be released by Carolina which is what other

teams interested in him were more than likely waiting on.

Yeah stuck with him to long. Horrible pick. Other bad picks in the last 10 years or so are Jarvis Jones and Ziggy Hood. Waisted number 1 picks, pretty sure they were number one picks.
