I wanted to be Cher. She was exotic, fun and I loved her hair, makeup and clothes. She was wild and fun and never gave a shit what anyone thought of her.

Honey, there's no good time like watching a vintage Cher video from the 70s!!!! She was such an "it girl" ! I came to find out years later as an adult that even before Bob Mackie, Cher was a fashion muse, just as as these young girls we see today. The legendary fashion editor (and Met Ball founder) Diana Vreeland was crazy about Cher in the 60s and early 70s: Vreeland used to drape her in all manner of designer frocks for fashion spreads in Vogue and other Conde Nast publications. Vreeland loved the model body, the long mane, the eyes, all of it.

I saw Cher at Walgreens once in the late 90s...and I tell you she was not only thinner than she looks on film (because it's true the camera always adds 10lbs), but she was so perfectly "preserved" she looked like a porcelain doll. And I mean that in GOOD way. I don't know who her surgeon is, but he's done just the right amount of tweaks through the years that Cher never turned into The Cat Lady, thank God.

I saw her in the late 90s too, at muchmusic when she did an interview and she looked good, had red hair at the time while on tour

So much thinner in person, right? I can't imagine how thin she was in the 70s if seen in person. I was so tickled when I saw her, all I could think to myself is, " this lady has no idea I used to have a Cher doll of her when I was knee high..." And laugh to myself. I used to put a towel on my head & imitate her when I was practically a baby and there she was in front of me with a Walmart basket.

What would you have liked to have designed?

A skyscraper.

That would have been my ideal legacy. Something to leave my mark in the skyline of a city.

I love to walk NYC and critique the new buildings.

Are you about to die or something? lol Do you know your way around 3D modelling software? Why don't you try MAKING your skyscraper in one??? If not a Real one, you can make a virtual one that we can all see, and experience - check my Grand Theft Auto thread, that I just made.

Not really. I didn't/don't have any particular talent (arts or sports) to make a career out of it, and I knew that since my teenage years.

Stars have this aura around them because of the huge money (total freedom), but as naive as it sounds, money truly can't buy happiness (not necessarily the same as complete financial freedom) or health.

As a 35 year old, I wouldn't trade a good-paid regular job for promises of fame and fortune. In fact, I would welcome the fortune but I don't care about fame. In fact, I'd loathe being something popular on the street.

As a teenager, I definitely wanted to. But as I grew older, I realised I wanted something else instead - to have a positive impact on the world. It's not exactly the same because you can do that without being famous, but, at the very least, I'd like to be recognised for what I will have done.

I've just watched Little Richard's appearance on Grammy in 1988 and I feel this man deserved more. At least he got some recognition when he was alive.

I felt something similar too, that I wanted to make a difference instead

Love that little Richard clip from the Grammys, had seen it years ago on YouTube and I rewatched it

Why Do Fools Fall In Love (1998) is about singer Frankie Lymon. Little Richard has a couple of cameos in it.

Still don’t want to be a star, but I got my childhood dream out of the way by sharing a song I wrote on my social media for my birthday. I actually didn’t get a lot of likes for it as I expected, but got dozens of likes for posting a new family photo. I hope this doesn’t mean my song sucked even though I got positive feedback from a few people and one person heard the mj influence in it :)

Thought I would share, but I’m not posting the song here lol
